i really want this to be good.
I'm hoping for Transatlanticism part 2 lol. But he says it is nothing like Death Cab so we'll see
yeah but usually when a band/artist describes their album pre-release, it ends up sounding nothing like what they said it would. so hopefully it just ends up sounding like older death cab lol.
like remember when they said narrow stairs was gonna be sludge influenced?
codes and keys was bad.
Hahaha no I don't remember that but that's funny
anyone hear his Home EP? was really good. great singer songwriter.
Nah I haven't heard anything he's done solo
in fairness, i haven't heard it in like 8 years so it might be shit, but i remember liking the lyrics to carolina, check that song out.
He needs to get back with Dntel and make another Postal Service album damnit.
Who calls this guy Benjamin?
nash are you a dude?
Digging: Migos - No Label 2
he's releasing the album under benjamin gibbard. it says "benjamin" on the cover.
Yeah I'ma dude from da hood.
Not sure why he'd operate under Benjamin but w/e.
Cause it is his full name. Lots of artists release material under their full name if they go by a nickname
First I've heard of this. I am excite.
Yea, I really hope he makes another Postal Service album. Such Great Heights is such a good song. Iron and Wine version is too
Digging: St. Vincent - St. Vincent
He's said a few times that this record is going to be a lot different, because it's mainly stuff he wrote during previous sessions that didn't fit into the Death Cab sound even a little bit. So he tweaked it for this sort of thing. Personally, I'm excited for it. Gibbard rarely disappoints.
