Biffy Clyro Double Album

2012-08-14 by Stormy Smiley Face | 29 Comments
In late 2011 Scottish band Biffy Clyro had begun talking details of their next full length release. The Alternative Rock trio previously stated it would be a double album; one with the title of 'The Land at the End of Our Toes', and the other called 'The Sand at the Core of Our Bones'.

However lead singer and guitarist Simon Neil recently announced a change in plans. On Zane Lowe's Radio Show on BBC the front-man announced there will be a double album, but with one title called 'Opposites'. In the interview he says before recording they started out with 45 songs. He also debuted the first song to be released, "Stingin' Belle", but there was no word on a release date.

You can listen to the BBC interview and new song here.

It was a shock of horror, but more like pure delight when he said 45 songs.

Sweet, should be good. I still dig them, but at the same time it kinda sucks that they're leaning towards a more commercialized sound, but good for them for getting the attention they deserve

Looking forward to this, though I was hoping for better when I heard that the new song had bagpipes.

I was expecting more from the pipes. It's no Sleep The Clock Around that's for sure.

Eh, i find they write really great, straightforward rock songs. Only Revolution is my favourite record of theirs.

One of the best lives bands out there.

Blackened Sky (first) and Puzzle (fourth) are my favourites. Surprised it's taken them six albums to finally use the bagpipes.
