Bummer. I loved a couple of their songs.
Honestly, I like the genre their in, but they were nothing special. Everyone at my school was so stoked when their first album came out and I got harassed to listen to them. My perception of them was honestly this: breakdown BEFORE THEIR EYES, IVORYLINE, and ANBERLIN. There you have it, a band that could revolutionize mainstream rock. Guys, let's face it, these bands were trying to weave into everyone's radios. I can hear it in every single and ANBERLIN has successfully gotten through. The wave of Christian Alt-Rock bands that came in from 2006 - 2009 was crazy. For God's sake, Flyleaf made it on the radio. I'm not bashing any of these bands for their earned success, if that's the direction be my guest, but lately, it's a one note trick.
Digging: Electric Guest - Plural
They experimented in a genre with pretty much no experimentation left in it. Their songs were much more complex and diverse than their peers. They had decent enough lyrics that werent overly cheesy or just anthem sounding. And at the very least, their albums were fun listens. One of the best rock bands still around and this news ruined my day.
I should really take a listen to these guys
damn, this sucks. Both their albums were great
Digging: Shun Tanabe - Shun Tanabe
Digging: Leif Vollebekk - Twin Solitude
never even heard of these guys
Thank you skoopy48 for coming up with a reasonably good argument instead of being a loud and obnoxious critic on a comment. Respect!
never liked their singles enough to listen to a full album, didn't realize these guys were held in high regard in any circles
Now that I look back on it their second album wasn't that good but their first had some really, really good songs on it, sucks to see them go so early
WHAAAAAAAAAAT? Well, this came out of left field :P I own their album "Mean What You Say" and I enjoy it quite a lot. This is a shame. God Bless all their future endeavors.
