I liked it more than I thought I would. I mean, I liked MPP, but Gotham/Honeycomb weren't very impressive to me.

I love how they are going for a super rough and wild approach this time. Already loved Honeycomb/Gotham to death.

pretty cool. More Spirit They've Gone..., and less MPP. not sure how i feel about that but the album will still be good.

This album is going to be gold. Hmm Ricky, how can you like this yet not like Honeycomb/Gotham? Honeycomb carries the same chaotic, poppy style.

Oh yeah, it can be too much to take in at first. After a couple of listens everything starts falling into place.

^ You need usually some time to let ACs music sink in to fully appreciate it.

They just aren't your generic pseudo-hipster neo-psychedelia band. They have lots of hidden patterns, complex structures and wide spectrum of raw emotions to confuse you at first, but repeated listens will pay off in the end.

^You put it perfectly. I will say this was an immediate track for me but only because I'm a huge AnCo fan and I'm quite used to their sound.

Yea.... but th th th th th th th this music is painful to listen to.

I have never been a huge fan of Avey Tare's vocal style, it really doesnt suit the music and tends to be well... annoying. Can you explain these hidden patterns and raw emotions? Because all im getting from this is a big steaming pile of convoluted bullshit.

If this was the first An Co song i heard i would seriously label them exactly what you just described them not being, a generic hipster neo-psychedelia band, and would probably never listen to them again.

@mast3rshake16
dude, i honestly just feel bad for you that you can't appreciate this track.
i love it, i've had it on repeat for the past couple days. it does the opposite of annoy me. and yeah, i can definitely see the patterns in this song...they're far from hidden. the vocal melody repeats many times, there are some strange rhythmic things in regard to how the second "your om's the sweetest thing inside of you..." part relates to the first, and a few other patterns that you probably wouldn't care about-you seem so close-minded to the idea of liking animal collective that i won't bother.

music is subjective, man. if you don't like it, don't knock it, you're just spreading negativity.

Even though it's not a requirement by any means of liking this band. I feel like if you haven't taken acid and listened to them at least once then you don't fully understand them. This song is awesome and yes I do need to do exactly what my body tells me.

song rules so hard, can't wait for centipede. gonna be a trip party. and to all the posters speaking of psychedelics with AC, that was how it all began to make sense for me... never quite understood the appeal of feels, SJ, or ST, til i was on acid and did you see the words came on. magical.
