Well I really like Skelethon. So if this beats it that's saying something for me.
|
| |

|

So far, this is stunning. Might even be better than "Vessel"...though I should hold off on that until after a few listens.

|
| |
Yeah, this is seriously awesome. I've had an advance copy for a while but I haven't begun writing my review.
|
| |
I might even like this a wee bit more than Vessel... Hard to say though. Can't Wait, Cutlass, Valiant,
Overlordian (the "Defender" of the album), Prairie Dog (seriously, the latter half of this is so
good), I'll Be Damned, Look At What..., Forget Me Not, and ANX are my current favourites. Rock Off and
Take My Hand are easily my least favourites, but I still like 'em well enough.
|
| |
Never heard these guys before, this is seriously kick ass
Digging: Erlen Meyer - Erlen Meyer

Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy
|
| |
Maybe better than Vessel.
|
| |
Definitely better than Vessel.
|
| |
"Yeah, better than vessels."
Don't worry guys this dude meant the post-rock group, nothing to worry about
|
| |
Without a doubt better than Vessel in every way.
|
| |
Lol, well let's not get carried away here. Vessel has some almost untoppable songs: Defender, Run, Little or No Concern, Instructions to Numb, and No Eye Contact.
|
| |
When I think of untoppable songs from Vessel, I think:
Now They Know, Run, and All Aboard. ...less tracks than I thought, but these are the three that I enjoy most in the long run. The other ones are good, but I definitely could do without them.
|
| |
I think you should re-listen to the ones I mentioned, Dex.
|
| |
Why, Masuka? You think I should sleep with them, is that it?
:P in all honesty, though, I've heard the album so many times. I love its production, but I guess I found Ozzborn's vocal performance kinda awkward overall on the album.
|
| |
so what are you favorite tracks from the new album?
I gotta say, the production on Cultclass just does something for me.
|
| |
Can't Wait, Cultclass, Valient, I'll Be Damned, Look At What the Cat Did, Take My Hand are my highlights for the album.
|
| |
Jacob: lol. I'm surprised that you don't like Instructions to Numb and Little or No Concern given that you like Run and the others you mentioned.
Michael: those are some of my favourites as well, but Take My Hand is really meh by comparison imo.
|
| |
Instructions To Numb is excellent as well, but I actually have little or no concern for Little Or No Concern
|
| |
Ha...ha. That's my favourite on the album, I think. I love the narrative.
|
| |
Listened to ANX quite a few times now. Absolutely loving it. I'll probably write a review.
|
| |
I wish I could post my review here as well.
|
| |
Reckon this is a much more consistent album than Vessel (great as it was). Loved All Aboard, Defender, No Eye Contact etc on Vessel but there were a few songs I felt could have been left off the album like Great Dane and The Sleestack Payback. I don't have any clear favourites on this yet but the whole album is great, didn't think Zavala's production could get any better than it was on Vessel but I was wrong.
|
| |
"songs I felt could have been left off the album like Great Dane and The Sleestack Payback."
123.
|
| |
Although my least favourite from that is probably View Items 2.
|
| |
as much as I like DTS I think zavala deserves a rapper with better flow
Digging: Electric Wizard - Dopethrone
|
| |
I don't know, I haven't been too bothered about any of Onry's other stuff but I think his laid back flow fits well with Zavala's beats, makes them stand out more. Having said that I think any rapper sounds better than usual over Zavala's beats.
|
| |
I definitely agree with Vessel having a bit of filler. Sleestack Payback was just unpleasant, Hands Up High was meh, and... uh, can't think of the other ones right now..
they exist, though.
|
| |
View Items 2 fucking rules wtf
|
| |
silentpotato = white tool
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
