Cryptopsy have debuted a video displaying selective tidbits from their upcoming album. The album teaser also features a few energetic clips of the band jamming, taken from their upcoming documentary "The Making of Cryptopsy". Both the documentary and self titled album are set for release on the same date.

My point was that the quality of the music has degraded significantly. A really talented band can hold quality over the years without repeating the same sound over and over.

This sounds pretty good, good riffs and all but I'd prefer a different vocal style. I'll make my judgments when I hear the whole thing. I hope the album isn't just straight forward tech death blast chaos all the time.

I can name no other band that has such a disparagement in their LP catalogue ratings as Cryptopsy does with 'None So Vile' (4.4) and 'The Unspoken King' (1.6). The only band I can think of that gets close is Dredg.

Not gonna lie, this new one might actually be pretty cool.

They'll never come close to None So Vile, but from the trailer it's at least obvious that they're giving it their best shot without trying to play on nostalgia.
