Vocals suck. They're falling into that djent rut like everyone else. Relies too much on the power-chorus for remorability, while leaving the actual riffs as afterthoughts.
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
|

I'd honestly rather listen to stick stickly. This is lolbad.
|
| |
This is so simple its a joke...
Digging: Thundercat - Apocalypse
|
| |
wasn't as bad as i expected but still horrible
|
| |
i dunno what's up with his harsh vocals. they weren't bad on the s/t and now it's like ick. singing's not bad though. but as most people said, they're not good haha
Digging: The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation
|
| |
Better than stick stickly but still inconsistent and that intro is so lol.
|
| |
Fun fact: the drummer from We Came As Romans narrates the intro.
: )
|
| |
Vocalist has lost a lot of weight

"Fun fact: the drummer from We Came As Romans narrates the intro.

cause no one knows how to read youtube comments
|
| |
vocalist is so damn attractive
|
| |
video wasnt that bad, however
I'd honestly rather listen to stick stickly. This is lolbad. [2]
|
| |
also since when is fieldy in attack attack
|
| |
Lol this vid. Very bad.
|
| |
should just let caleb write everything
|
| |
Vocals are terrible and the video is bad but this is an improvement for them. Not lol bad like I thought it would be
|
| |
why is this band still around? God.....
|
| |
Its like a bad imitation of The Plot in You
|
| |
Can they think of any sort sound for themselves? The first 2 albums were rip-offs of TDWP and this one sounds like a shitty version of (insert Meshuggah album).
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
|
| |
hahahahahaha this band sucks but i think they are funny as fuck and i enjoy watching their videos for the lulz
Digging: Polyenso - One Big Particular Loop
|
| |
i have a really big soft spot for shitty horrible metalcore and was like hey this isn't terrible and i kinda dig it then 2:20 rolled around and i actually started laughing out loud
|
| |
Video was actually not that bad
|
| |
i admit that i was a little impressed with the last video (and the actual song) but this is totally unremarkable.
|
| |
Can this band get anymore annoying?
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
|
| |
I'm getting really sick of breakdowns that start as palm muted for 2 beats then open for 1 beat then muted again for the last beat... Generic 4/4 at it's finest.
|
| |
"I'd honestly rather listen to stick stickly. This is lolbad."
Maybe this was their plan from the beginning...
And the video was weird, to say the least... Song is meh, and it sounds like they want to cross over
into alternative metal territory so badly.
|
| |
Terrible video and song, and I actually quite like the video for The Wretched. Song isn't too bad either.
Digging: Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
|
| |
idk, I didn't think it was terribly bad. Just boring as fuck. His vocals are shit compared to the self-titled. In saying that, they weren't good on the self titled either.
|
| |
The djenty parts are terrible. And the song lacks any memorable parts whatsoever. Just plain uninteresting
|
| |
That was pretty boring. It sounded interesting when he repeated that line at the beginning, then it sounded terrible after that.
Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy
|
| |
WHOA. That song was horrible even for them. I also didn't know they were a four-piece. I knew the other guitarist left, but I figured they would replace him.
|
| |
This band is quickly making a name for itself... as a joke.
Digging: Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
|
| |
what the fuck was that
|
| |
Is Attack Attack, what else you can expect?
Lol.
|
| |
i haven't listened to this much but i can dig it a bit haha. But yeah lol intro and Caleb really needs new scramz
|
| |
and the pop chorus doesn't fit with the whole djent thing
|
| |
At least the vocals are less whinny
|
| |
yar but his screams are not very strong and it doesn't sound like he's screaming correctly
|
| |
I wonder what genre/trend they will horribly rip off for their next album.
|
| |
Fuck it
Digging: Trinidad Jame$ - Don't Be S.A.F.E.
|
| |
lol. sweet dig Luke
|
| |
Yeah it's fucking sensual as hades.
|
| |
hahha yeah its chill as fuck for sure
|
| |
I just threw my cat against my wall
|
| |
Glad it's not available in my region
|
| |
if their new album is a concept why don't the videos follow it.
Digging: Faith No More - The Real Thing
|
| |
this band fucking sucks and the devil wears prada and these guys both turned hipster wtf???
|
| |
hipster is the new scene. where have you been?
|
| |
Stay tuned for This Means War II: Attack Attack! goes full Progg!
|
| |
haha
|
| |
video is super silly but I kind of enjoy it in that manner.
|
| |
Every song of this album sounds the same.
|
| |

I must say that this is quite enjoyable as opposed to their old stuff. The vocals are a lot better in my opinion because they are so blatantly flawed. As strange as that may sound, I think that it was a good decision for the vocalist to basically talk through some screams because in concert, he wouldnt be able to constantly scream. A lot of these bands try to polish the vocals so much in the studio and they suck live. But this is more, dare I say, raw.
Digging: Converge - You Fail Me
|
| |
and by raw you mean its generic.
