M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez announced he would be scoring music for the upcoming science fiction movie "Oblivion" directed by Joe Kosinski, who enlisted the help of Daft Punk for his film debut "Tron Legacy"
Gonzalez spoke, "I've wanted to do soundtracks for so long, and starting with such an ambitious project, especially in the sci-fi category, means a lot to me." He also reveals: "My vision is really to have a combination of very electronic moments, very M83, and sometimes merge into something more soundtrack-y, but my kind of soundtracks."
The film will star Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman with a tentative release date of 26 April 2013
This could be cool. Morgan Freeman samples, please!

Digging: Tomonari Nozaki - Une Histoire de Bleu
well this is interesting, firstshowing is a good site
Movie will suck soundtrack will not This
That quote is gonna make Dev lose his shit.
Also, between Cruise and Freeman that's one hell of creepy guy pairing. One guy marries his step grandaughter while the other is Tom cruise.
"My vision is really to have a combination of very electronic moments, very M83, and sometimes merge into something more soundtrack-y, but my kind of soundtracks."
This quote is golden.
Daft Punk didn't fail so hopefully M83 doesn't either.
Would also like an Oblivion: Reconfigured remix album too.
Digging: Das EFX - Dead Serious
This should turn out to be really good. He's already proven that they can handle a double album with
excellent execution, a score should be no problem for him.
Digging: Melt Yourself Down - Melt Yourself Down
I can't believe Tom Cruise is basically 50 and he still looks beautiful
I think the secret to scientology is sorcery or the fountain of youth.
Same goes for Johnny Depp, He looked 24 in Dark Shadows.
seeing them live in a weeeeeeek!
Sat July 7, 2012 - best day ever. after recovering from Oneohtrix Point Never's 3AM-? set, I get to see:
-The Roots (or Tune-Yards)
-Pretty Lights (2AM, late show)
oh and Bruce Springsteen but I don't really care about seeing his set
Aids is gay
Lol @ actually seeing a Oneohtrix Point Never set
could be cool.
Digging: Waxahatchee - American Weekend
The guy's so into himself it hurts sometimes, but he's talented enough. Here's hoping it turns out good.

It always starts with a Victoria's Secret commercial.
