Vocals have improved. I'm not gonna listen to the whole thing cause it's probably like a fourth of the whole album.

Who cares if it's fucking polished? I enjoy quite a bit of black metal and of course a lot of it has poor production, but I don't go into a song/album hoping or wanting it to sound like shit.

Song is pretty awesome and the album is probably gonna be stellar.

Turning off the new Agalloch for this. Better be good!

edit: I agree that it could use more mud, but it seems pretty good so far nonetheless.

I was hoping they wouldn't conform to stupid titles and keep their discography looking like this:

Ash Borer - Demo
Ash Borer - Ash Borer
Ash Borer - Ash Borer
Ash Borer - Untitled
Ash Borer - Ash Borer
Ash Borer - Another Demo

I was going to point out that Woe is a good example of clean(ish) production that doesn't fit with the music, but i decided poke fun at you digging them while bashing lofi production. I hope there are no hard feelings, bro.

Don't look now, but they're also selling out by releasing this on CD. On the bright side, I'll finally be able to buy their material and actually be able to play it.

What murky/dirty production are you idiots talking about? Do any of you actually own a physical copy of this stuff, or have you just been listen to tape rips of the past material that you downloaded off the internet? If they had released this on a cassette first you'd all be jizzing yourselves.

This production is barely different sounding from the s/t LP. With the exception of that rehearsal demo this band has always had a pretty clear production.

I own Ash Borer material on both cassette and vinyl, and if you think this new track sounds the same production-wise as earlier stuff then lol. Granted it's not necessarily 'clean', but it is definitely crisper.

Sounds like their older albums to these ears. And who fucking cares if the production standards are better anyways, whether you hear it or not. This is just as good, if not better, than previous albums.

Production was still too clean. Their older stuff was noticeably of lower quality production-wise. Not "Burzum" bad, but a little messy and maybe sounding as if recorded live. This is noticeably cleaner.

So one of the girls from Worm Ouroboros is doing guest vocals on two of the tracks on this album....
looks like some band is pulling a WitTR. I mean like, more than usual.
