It's awesome, but I'm wondering why they didn't select one of more hook-laden tracks to be their next single.

Yeah this song is good. Maybe the band themselves like the song and felt that it should be released. A lot of times it seems like the band likes most the songs you, as a listener, feel are less interesting. (At least to me this happens a lot)

I'm not addressing the issue of quality. I just think they have more 'radio-friendly' tracks on the record than this one.

What radio station do you listen to plays Orange Goblin?

I don't listen to radio, but some songs on the record are admittedly very accessible and hook-laden.

One of the only hard rock / metal bands I can still listen to but the video is shit. Please show the same creativity in your videos that you do with your music.
