I am sooooo fucking excited.
|
| |
yeah this should be his best in years
|
| |
20 track albums
those are always a good idea
|
| |
14*
|
| |
everybody here is going to download the deluxe version and you know it
|
| |
14 tracks or 20 tracks regardless this album is probably gonna suck
|
| |
you sure we aren't all getting a little too excited about this?
I mean, I can't count a few times I heard 3 songs before an album came out and those ended up being the only ones worth a damn. Iunno man, I just unno
|
| |
My avg rating of Nas after 10 albums (including the Damian Marley collab) is probably around a 4 so I think I'm justified to have big expectations.
|
| |
Rap veteran Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones, simply known to fans as Nas
this sentence cracks me up
|
| |
The three singles "Nasty", "The Don", and "Daughters" promise that Life Is Good will be a top tier record for Nas' career
this part is where i cracked up
|
| |
I tried really hard you guys lol
|
| |
D=
|
| |
pro tip: news is supposed to be objective
|
| |
I just thought you worded that sentence in a funny way, like only his fans call him Nas or something
|
| |
Promises to be awesome, but we'll see
|
| |
LOL now that's funny. Objectivity is a persons point of view.
|
| |
I tried really hard you guys lol
Really have no idea why you bothered to come back
|
| |
Objectivity is a persons point of view.
objectivity (countable and uncountable; plural objectivities)
The state of being objective, just, unbiased and not influenced by emotions or personal prejudices
u were saying
|
| |
Really have no idea why you bothered to come back
this
nothing of value was gained
this article needs to be either edited or taken down
this isn't a circle jerk, these are supposedly legitimate news articles
|
| |
to be fair the article is probably accurate
top tier album for nas' career isn't saying that much
|
| |
@illmitch Okay I'll be serious right now...I don't consider that a proper definition because I don't believe in objectivity. I could take away the "top tier" portion of the article, but all it says is the possibility this album would be one of his best not the best and it indicates there is always the possibility it wouldn't be one of his best. People are opinionated. Any culture is opinionated. Someone's opinion is a part of who they are as an individual and there is no correct way of behavior or decision-making to accuse someone of being objective. I really don't feel like explaining this further and having to give examples, but if I have to try and get the point across that's fine.
and to deviant and uhkris: I don't care what you think. I don't know why you would have a negative opinion on me maybe just because I like to give asinine comments or responses most of the time so that it confuses people but it really doesn't matter to me. I'm here to learn about new music and keep a track of ratings first and then reviews and comments second. I've done a lot of reviews and make a lot of comments during the periods I actually am doing those things on the site because guess what? I never left the site for a single day and no user here has any good reason to talk sh!t to me because that's just petty and sad. So feel free to respond but also feel free to kiss my ass because either way doesn't change how anything is.
|
| |
you wrote that the presence of three singles which you apparently like means that this will be a "top tier record" for nas' career
are you retarded
|
| |
It's not based off me liking them. I don't like "Daughters". It's about what I've seen people saying on the internet for the most part and what Nas has said. He said there's a lot of stuff from his past albums, mainly Untitled that when he went back and listened after a time he didn't see some as quality music for someone to want to listen to repeatedly and that's the mindset he went in for making Life Is Good and to show he's not in the same place as he has been for any of his previous records.
|
| |
that's not the point you aspie
the quality of the album is irrelevant. this is a news article to inform people about the happenings in new music.
|
| |
Well it lets you know what the three singles are so someone can listen to one or all of them and they can decide for themselves if they're interested in the album or not. I assume people can make their own opinion but anywho I'm letting people know what the release date is, what the artwork is, what the tracklist is, and what the three songs that could be found streaming are titled. It's just one little portion of a sentence that isn't even a blaring opinion lol.
|
| |
God damn you're fucking stupid, Storm.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
And here I was thinking Sputnik was on her period last week.
|
| |
guys stop being dicks, you really are getting too worked up over this stuff
but anyway, I'm holding out mild excitement over this and honestly I don't give two shits about Nas' career or even Illmatic but from what I've heard/seen this might be really good. Also really happy that 40 is co-producing a track on this.
and the Accidental Murderers track was recently released and it's hot af. Rick Ross almost murks Nas on his own shit tbh.
|
| |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuSQ-gyOm1g
I mean listen to this shit.
|
| |
guys stop being dicks
thats honestly the main reason i come to this site tbh
|
| |
Ross is pretty fucking good on that song. But he's still one of the shittest human beings in the music business.
|
| |
"the Accidental Murderers track was recently released and it's hot af. Rick Ross almost murks Nas on his own shit tbh."
Not even close. That being said...
"Ross is pretty fucking good on that song."
^^^This.
|
| |
"But he's still one of the shittest human beings in the music business."
I don't see how. There's the correctional officer thing but he never fucked anyone over in the industry and he's only really helped careers and been pretty cool as an actual person.
|
| |
Niggas beefin'.

I like Nas' verse better than Ross'.
|
| |
Just cam to say... article title is win.
|
| |
Those Rick Ross interviews are fantastic. The face bling. I have no words
|
| |
I know right!? I was so convinced it was a parody the first time I watched it.
|
| |
that's not the point you aspie
aw man we should hang out more
|
| |
'the don' is still a badass track
|
| |
"how do you rap about being a gangsta when you used to be a correctional officer. starting beef with kreayshawn is lol to."
there are plenty of corrupt CO's who'd move weight, it's not the same thing as being a police officer. The main thing I don't like about it is that he originally denied being one. And anyway the ppl in NWA and Mobb Deep lied about being hardass thugs when the worst they've probably ever done is sell a gram of weed for their friends.
"@gabethepiratesquid

yeah that's defs kinda dumb.
|
| |
this isn't a circle jerk, these are supposedly legitimate news articles
UH OH TEH INTERNET POLICE IS OUT...TEH MEAN SERIOUZ BUZNESS
|
| |
Nasty only a bonus track? If that means the rest is better this is gonna be huge.
|
| |
I'm fucking pumped for this, haters gon' hate. Loved Nasty and The Don.
Nas still one of the realest.
I'm with you 'Storm in a Teacup'
|
| |
shut up wylie before I REPORTS JOOOOOO
|
| |
WE TRIPPY MAINE!!!!
|
| |
Heard there was going to be a Frank Ocean collab on this album. Doesn't look like it made the cut.
|
| |
I have high hopes for this album.
|
| |
Daughters is terrible. Not looking forward to this.
|
| |
Will probably suck... :/
|
| |
daughters is great, this article title is terrible
|
| |
Nasty and Accident Murderer are great, The Don and Daughters are listenable, the other 16 tracks will most likely be filler and yea this article is terrible.
|
| |
"@gabe, would you care to touch on the lameness of his beef."
whose beef?
|
| |
ganggstaa
|
| |
LOL remember the "Kanye vs 50" beef? News media and "interests" suck
|
| |
hahahaha yeah but he says he never said that. They both now say they never said anything and it was all generated by the media to increase sales. Go figure
|
| |
Don't forget he's Floyd Maywether Jrs best friend now and you don't wanta fuck with their set!
|
| |
I think he was in jail for one day before his lawers made a motion for him to be immediately released because his condition was fastly deteriorating and he would never be able to box professionally again.
|
| |
Damn str8 the gangstas are the angels of earth
|
| |
get rich or die tryin is still one of the best 2000s rap albums tbh
|
| |
Get Rich is great. Prime 50's flow >>>>>
|
| |
The Don is a great song
don't really care for the other singles tbh
also, sputnik ruined yet another thread congrats you fuckers
|
| |
I've only listened to Illmatic and love it. Anything else to be recommended?
|
| |
It Was Written, Stillmatic and to not have Bill Hicks as your avatar.
|
| |
Yeah dude that avy is not swag.
Like gabe said, but imo I would try Stillmatic first, then It Was Written second. IF you love thoses another favorite Nas album of mine is his collaboration with Damian Marley called, "Distant Relative". That was prolly my aoty for 2010.
|
| |
I've only listened to Illmatic and love it. Anything else to be recommended?
what gabe said, plus check out the lost tapes
everything else by nas kinda sucks
|
| |
absolutely nuthin'!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-bA9FYB8HY
|
| |
God's Son is a good listen regardless of only having 1 big single
|
| |
Apparently he did Illmatic in its entirety at SXSW this year. i would enjoy seeing that.
|
| |
agreed hard
|
| |
what's wrong with stillmatic?
gabe recommended it and i agreed with him
never said anything bad about stillmatic
|
| |
stillmatic is good
|
| |
his beats fell off, not him
|
| |
he fell off after it was written, stillmatic was the exception
|
| |
Nas usually has pretty awful beat selection ability tbh
|
| |
people are way too subjective on here
|
| |
