I was kind of skeptical about that piano at first, but that song still turned out pretty damn great. Scogin's vocals are crazily passionate.

Long Live was an astounding metalcore/hardcore masterpiece, I'll be looking forward to this so much... I love the soft piano/screamed vocals juxtaposition. God damn I'm just stoked for another The Chariot album!

Fuck yes, that was brilliant. I don't understand why they get so much hate on here, they're a fantastic band, even before Long Live.

That album is incredibly underrated too, I can't fathom why its rating is so low on this site. Several average songs on it, but seriously, the good ones more than make up for it.

They definitely are a band that get their full power from recording their stuff live and imo Josh Scogin is currently the most talented screamer in music. I don't know any other vocalist that can hold out screams like he can.

I know this song is completely different from anything they've done, but they seriously could not have picked a better one to play. The more I listen to this the more I love it. Fuck I'm excited for this now.

I hope that preview meant that they are recording with analog again. It really works for them. The normal studio producing of The Fiance and Wars and Rumors just didn't capture their energy right.

"dont see how thats bad. this song actually shows them doing something different. also i dont understand why you would be skeptical"

That's what I was saying. And I didn't think it would be bad necessarily, I just didn't expect it blow me away as hard as it did.

God I'm pumped for more new stuff now. I love The Chariot, but I just can't do long listens, maybe one play through Long Live and I'm good for a day or two. An astounding testament to how intense their music is. They were also the second best live show I've seen (Dillinger Escape Plan wrecks too hard for me not to give them number one).

I love the Chariot, if anyone hasn't seen them live you have no idea what you're missing they take it to another level. Here in Canada, their bassist was playing in the rafters and in the pit. David De La Hoz was one of the most creative music videos I've seen.

My only knock on them is I find I can only listen to their albums for about a month before I get sick of it; perhaps because I listen too it too often

Long Live as by far the best. and The Chariot is by far better live than any other band out there preformance wise. This should be good.

I like that they don't really fuck around on stage. I though Josh was going to preach at some point (especially considering I saw them on Scream the Prayer) but all he did was walk out on stage and say "Be free, whatever that means to you, be free." Then they tore the place to pieces. Forever after that, every show I will see will be compared to their performance.

Yup. Josh Scogin is a beast and gets his message across in a greatly economical fashion. I was expecting some preaching as well after some YouTube videos I saw but they were older ones. Their stage prescence is just at another level; like from the start to the tear down of the equipment its like watching a hardcore play.
