Hawkwind founding member dies at 69

John Harisson, founding member of Hawkwind, has passed away at the age of 69.
In a statement issued by Cleopatra Records, it was revealed that Harisson's passing took place in his sleep in May 26, two days before his 70th birthday. Harisson was suffering from Huntington disease, having been diagnosed in 2005.
With reference to Harisson's death, Former Hawkwind guitarist Huw Lloyd-Langton issued a statement where he praised Harisson's character and contribution in keeping Hawkwind together, especially during their first years of existence.
