TDWP Live CD/DVD 2012-06-14 by RQL3 | 40 Replies | 2061 Views |
The Ohio-based metalcore quintet (upon recent removal of their keyboardist), The Devil Wears Prada, have announced the upcoming release of a live CD/DVD combo entitled, Dead&Alive. The release date is scheduled for June 26, 2012. The DVD contains live footage as well as backstage and miscellaneous footage unveiling their "day-to-day reality" of being on the road.
The band is also scheduled as a headliner on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival this summer along with Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, and Motörhead.
Tour dates and locations, a mini interview with Mike Hranica, and a promo live video of their song "Untidaled" can all be viewed below:

God he sounds like shit in that live clip. If they had a better vocalist I'd probably love this band.
|
| |
Yeah I posted this but they are miserable vocally in their live performances.
|
| |

@killerum yes it was.

|
| |
"oh i though it was like saying like now they are metalcore." [2]

I find it hilarious when people try to tell me that TDWP is the best live band. They suck dick live. The best live band I've seen (metalcore wise) is the Chariot, hands down.

Dillinger
|
| |
I've heard good stuff about them, really been meaning to catch them.
Same goes for Converge.
|

parkway or haste the day
|
| |
I thought the live footage preview was awesome.

all those bands are pretty cool live but The Chariot and DEP are on a league of their own.
|
| |
too bad these guys are trash live
|
| |
Coming from someone who's seen them multiple times, Mike and Jeremy are really hit or miss on their vocals. If they get it going then they are pretty solid, if not then they are pretty bad.

Yea the only time I've seen these guys, I expected Mike and Jeremy to suck but they really blew me away.
|
| |
And on the topic of best live bands, Volumes, Counterparts and Whitechapel put on the best shows. Of bands I've seen live at least.
|
| |
Every Time I Die and letlive and Dillinger are the best live bands I've ever seen.
|
| |
yeah ETID and letlive kill it.
|
| |
letlive are fucking crazy live.
|
| |
Fuck, those vocals were really bad. Instruments were pretty solid though.
|
| |
Saw them in 2007, and thought they were good for being as young as they are. I might check the DVD.
|
| |
I've only seen them twice but they were on point both times.
|
| |
enjoyed it alot
|
| |
Quality of performance wise, I know Parkway Drive are spot on.
As for the best show I've ever been to, a little band from Sydney named Stories. They're all like 17 years old and they're doing it right.
|
| |
Vocals aren't terrific, but instruments rule.

|
| |
Interested in this. Their last record was kinda good

1. Saw TDWP like 5 years ago and the vocals were fine. I think he was too focused on going nuts in
this clip.
2. TDEP, Chariot, Converge top 3 live bands ive ever seen
|
| |
I don't really like this band on cd, but the link Timmons posted was okay.
The best i've seen live are; ETID, letlive., Bad Religion, Che Sudaka and Enter Shikari(yes really).

When I saw them live, they were sweet. Going to get this.
|

(upon recent loss of their keyboardist)
you make it sound like he's died
Digging: Still Corners - Strange Pleasures

I've heard from many people that they're great live, but saw em about 4 years back and it was almost impossible to recognize the songs they played because the vocals were so poor, and they would skip parts of their songs lol.
|
| |
It also bothers the shit out of me when you go to a venue and the sound board guy is practically deaf...saw TDWP a few months ago and I swear the sound guy had no idea what he was doing. I guess that's what you get for booking a metalcore at fuckin' Club Nokia
|
| |
Yeah they don't sound that great live

I agree with ETID and Dillinger killing it live. Last time I saw Dillinger, Greg jumped on my head.
I really want to see Counterparts live.
