This way they'll count the sales from the whole week instead of just 2 or 3 days and the album will reach a higher number on the chart. At least that's why I believe they release the albums on different days in different countries.

Really excited about this one. I was never a fan till American Idiot and 20th century as they moved more towards rock and away from pop punk. Green Day are a great live band and the music is good.

@olddirtydoggy - Green Day were famous before American Idiot. Dookie, which was released in 1994, is their best selling album for example. Starting with AI they took an arena rock route and became less introspective and more superficial. That's why people tend to hate them now.
