Hasn't every Muse album to date been a troll?
|
| |
And @ Tyraelxy: Why would Muse hire a troll to make a fake video so they could post worldwide? Only one man has been a dedicated troll that big, and that was Joaquin Phoenix. And his was funny.
|
| |
I thought this was actually legit, and that they'd totally lost the plot, then the dub step kicked in and I thought "oh, I get it!"
|
| |
Lets just pretend that this is some big joke: is it really a smart idea (regardless of how big a band you may be) to all of a sudden come out and say, "oh no, we were just joking!"?
|
| |
@Michael, Joaquin Phoenix is a god amongst trolls. he fooled
everyone in the media, his friends, and his fans then profited.
|
| |
Exactly, Joaquin Phoenix is the epitome of how to do a public troll en masse. Muse just releasing a 2 minute video with some Brostep then saying, "Lol, jokes on you guys, you tried to pass it off as artistic direction" would be completely stupid and wouldn't benefit them in any way.
I mean, I even saw a fan on that Youtube video defend them saying, "Muse are geniuses, they're taking what's popular and incorporating it into their music, that's what makes them so good."
Some people boggle me.
|
| |
I mean I find it kinda cool they mimicked dubstep through the use
of their instruments but it still sounds like shit and it is not funny.

Bellamy is a genius at making a catchy guitar lick and sticking to it during whatever song is in question. He's not a "genius" in regards to the guitar, just a mildy clever guy. |

A lot of modern bands are filled with scruffy young teens who just want to wank their instruments as much as possible. Some bands can pull of technicality well, some just write shitty wank fests. It annoys me.

Ew.. no.
I said Bela Bartok.
"A lot of modern bands are filled with scruffy young teens who just want to wank their instruments as much as possible. Some bands can pull of technicality well, some just write shitty wank fests. It annoys me."
True indeed, but there have, are and definitely will be bands that are/were and will have the ability to pull of technically demanding stuff. Also, considering there were composers like Bela Bartok and thngs like Jazz not too long after the classical period that statement was just incredibly retarded.
|
| |
I would have said any drum track from any White Stripes song. Meg White is crazy technical.

In the end, I don't care how technical or simple music is played, I just want it to sound good. I mean, Dax Riggs is one of my favourite musicians and all his music is basic drum beats with some nice guitar and bass. Then his sexy, sexy voice.
