Exactly, Joaquin Phoenix is the epitome of how to do a public troll en masse. Muse just releasing a 2 minute video with some Brostep then saying, "Lol, jokes on you guys, you tried to pass it off as artistic direction" would be completely stupid and wouldn't benefit them in any way.

I mean, I even saw a fan on that Youtube video defend them saying, "Muse are geniuses, they're taking what's popular and incorporating it into their music, that's what makes them so good."

Some people boggle me.

Bellamy is a genius at making a catchy guitar lick and sticking to it during whatever song is in question. He's not a "genius" in regards to the guitar, just a mildy clever guy. Also, I'm not sure that they know what they are doing. Did you even listen to the Resistance? It was fucking awful so as much as I love old Muse, this would not come as a shock to me.

True indeed, but there have, are and definitely will be bands that are/were and will have the ability to pull of technically demanding stuff. "The dubstep sounds like it could have fit onto Origin of Symmetry without much trouble"

I thought I'd like you because of the Mi Fa Mi avatar but now I want to punch you in the face.
Seriously though, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is serious. Origin Of Symmetry is a masterpiece, Absolution wasn't that good and it's all downhill from there. Why not have a Brokencyde guest spot? It'd be fitting.

Why all the hate? Muse are a consistantly good band who play and write all their own stuff. So they are scening a bit with dubstep, I'm ok with that as long as it sounds good. Very excited about this.

"Muse fans are the worst fans. No contest. They even swarm onto any pole for best guitarist, bassist, drummer etc... and always vote for the Muse members.

I remember seeing a pole where Hysteria got voted the best bass line of all time. And another where Christopher Wolstenholme got voted best bassist of the last 20 years."

You're the idiot if you think polls actually matter. If it's a poll, it's based on public opinion, so it will almost always have terrible results...

have muse become so big now that the new people who like them are impressed that they actually write their own music?

this dubstep stuff is funny if its a joke too, with all their dumb fans defending it haha.

I'm not dissapointed by the band in general, so I'll trust them on this one.

But if they are going to incorporate Dubstep in their music they better not go like "Look, Dubstep! wub wub wub blub blub blub! It's great!" and make it relevant, make actual music with it.

I can still see this as a total Muse thing to do, it's challenging as well which is fine, but it'd better be worth it.

It is Dubstep blablabla / It isn't Dubstep blablabla / It isn't even good Dupstep blablabla / 140 bpm blablabla / based on this 2 minutes i hate Muse blablabla/

This is the deal guys: Muse is Muse and they do as they like. Rock, classic or techno, they don't have boundries. Love it or hate it. Nothing less, nothing more. Stop to label everything and free your minds! Goog luck with that! ;)

People who constantly complain about a bands fans are even lamer than said fans.

Muse was good back in the day but havent cared about em since I rocked to Knights Of Cydonia on Guitar Hero. That ish was hard!!!

I hope this is a serious preview. Im actually curious how its gonna sound. Korn revolutionized music again!!

It sound like a super beefy mix of everything they've done so far.+ THAT IS A GUITAR MAKING THOSE NOISES!! That amazes me! So excited and I actually HOPE this song is on the album. It was flawless how the dramatic strings and orchestra/choir intro plunge right into the guitar dubstep. Its amazing all the sounds these guys can make!
