Australian progressive melodic death metal group Be'Lakor have released their new album for
streaming on their Youtube page ahead of the album's release date. Their third full-length
album, "Of Breath and Bone," is set for physical release on June 4th by Rockstar Records.
Will probably be 3.5.
Digging: Leprous - Tall Poppy Syndrome
If you liked their other albums you'll like this, surprise surprise. Yeah probably 3.5 or 4.0, I'm almost done listening to the stream.
Digging: Lake Of Blood - Omnipotens Tyrannus
Yeah this is probably in the 3.7-3.8 range for me, as their other two albums were. There's some fucking awesome stuff going on but at the same time the lack of variation/pacing prevents it from being any more entertaining.
tFT - 3.25
Stone's reach - 5 (within the genre)
oBaB I have only heard 3 songs from, looks like a potential 4.
Stone's Reach is a 5 for me too. Love that album.
This one looks preety interesting, but I only heard 3 songs from it yet...
The first two tracks and the last track on Stone's Reach are fantastic but the middle to the end of the album drags hard.
Venator is actually the weekest, followed very closely by aspect. Those tracks are 4 at best. Listen harder next time, the middle of the album is brilliant.
I mean, it's not like I've had the album for three years or anything.
I find Held in Hollows and Aspect really boring, and Sun's Delusion could have been shaved a little.
I was hoping all the songs would be around 6 minutes or less, oh well. Will definitely check this out, Stone's Reach is very good
I find Held in Hollows and Aspect really boring, and Sun's Delusion could have been shaved a little. The start of "Held in Hollows" though, that's some sexy stuff. On the other hand, I do have stone's Reach 5'd so it's natural that I love every track on it.
cool gonna check this out
Digging: Disgrace - Inside the Labyrinth of Depression
album is p damn gud so far
sounding more omnium gatherum and insomnium like, than ever before. But still cool
And what do ya know, it sucked.
Digging: Demilich - Nespithe
and what do ya know
I know enough that melo-death as transparent as this sucks to listen to ; ).
Yeah, well that's just, like, your opinion man
I try to make people eat my opinion on this site but they soon realize I'm a horrible troll.
I all honesty though, this is music you grow out of very quickly. It's nice to be reminded of the gateway music I used to listen to.
2 years and counting
btw do you still like say, The Gallery or did you grow out of that kind of melodeath too
I will come back to the classics once in a blue moon but truthfully, I have a stack of albums on my desk that need my attention more. There is soooooooooooo much good music out there and I want to listen to as much as I can. When I hit a series of albums that absolutely suck, I revert back to my collection (which has been happening alot this year, been a disappointing year).
Disappointing year? We're obviously not listening to the same stuff ;)
Digging: Sara Bareilles - The Blessed Unrest
Dunno what you've been listening to but I've heard a lot of great stuff this year
but okay :]
edit: damn you willie the ninja
2012 has been a great year.
still have to write my review for this which means actually articulating how I feel about this
Digging: Obliteration - Black Death Horizon
does he melo dm hard?
Summary: not as good as Insomnium but okay
wow definitely gonna use that
In terms of metal, alot of suckage and huge disappointments.
the new Devin Townsend Project and Between the Buried and Me albums are gonna rock the year
Still haven't heard this but obvs by the post' it's prolly a handful of meh.
Was that a joke?
Let's hope so. Stone's Reach was almost TOO good.
'Was that a joke?'
when will you people get that ffs
Not talking to you faggot.
Well aren't we tough
I was clearly quoting Wizard are you fucking blind or just stupid
how the fuck are they progressive?
Loving this album, 4.
