American death metallers Nile have premiered their new song "'The Fiends Who Come to Steal the Magick of the Deceased" from their upcoming album "At The Gate Of Sethu".
Does Karl Sanders watch Egyptian porn too?
the riffs are pretty good but the production seems too clean
Digging: Death Grips - Government Plates
yeah the guitars dont sound heavy and powerful anymore.
karl sanders is possibly one of the most metal names out there
its got a sweet intro
Digging: Stereolab - Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements
Did his vocals sounded a lot different to anyone else?
Digging: Lake Of Blood - Omnipotens Tyrannus
Drummer has always impressed me but I find the vocals to be very dull.
Digging: Shreddy Krueger - The Grieving
omg this fucking sucks. the production is horrible.
not sure if i liked this. as said, production sucks im afraid
blasting is so 2009 its all about the jun now
Digging: HORSE the band - Desperate Living
Like it alot.
KILL likes it so it's probably not too bad
Song is good. Hope the album will slay.
heard this the other day (not sure why)
its so abysmally bad it hurt to listen to
Digging: Gas (Mat Jarvis) - Gas 0095
Song is cool, but the production is so clean for a nile work
Cool gotta check
Digging: Disgrace - Inside the Labyrinth of Depression
Pretty awesome riffing, but I'm not a fan of the vox on this
it's VERY thin, just doesn't sound like it has any punch
agreed with the dude above me. the guitar sound is thin as fuck
2/10 would not bang
Good to hear some changing up from the standard Nile sound. Interested to see how the rest of the album is.
this doesnt change the standard nile sound
Track is just so-so
eww what's up with the vocals
Just sounds their other stuff apart from some of the slightly higher vocals, which aren't great.
Digging: Deafheaven - Sunbather
The last 2 albums just aren't as good as the first few IMO...annihilation of the wicked being the best one
Needs more harmonic minor
Digging: Thank You Scientist - Maps of Non-Existent Places
People saying the production is bad must not listen to a lot of Nile. Cleanest they've had yet. Guitars hardly sound thin. Perhaps it's because when I tink 'thin' I think the guitars from Woe, Is Me & Alesana.
Really didn't mind the vocals all that much. They predominately stay slated in that lower register that is common for Nile.
Honestly loved this track.
"Cleanest they've had yet."
exactly, thats the problem.
clean production = not a good thing for nahl
Ehh. I like cleaner guitars actually. This is atypical for me, but the rougher production on previous Nile releases seemed to fog up some of the guitar work. Not that is was impossible to hear. Rather, the guitars seem to have a lot to offer, and while the dirtier production adds a more 'death metal' atmosphere, the cleaner production lets the writing shine through better.
I think I'll survive oone album with clean production, haha
the vocals are weird as fuck,. drums and guitar slay as usual
production ruined it.
ithyphallic ruined it
its not as bad as people say. its got some good riffs. Ithyphallic is referring to a statue of the god of fertility, its not like theyre screaming about cocks the whole album.
production on ithyphallic is terrible
not at all. its at least a lot better than on this.
yeah. the production here is pretty bad.
explain your logic on how ithyphallic is good and this is shit
ithyphallic sounds powerful and clear at the same time. this just sounds weak.
the drums sound fake as hell. on this the drums have a somewhat organic feel, i say somewhat because they are still compressed as hell but arent AS clicky.
production on ithyphallic is terrible (2)
The riffs are pretty decent, some of the vocals are absolutely awful though.
if this songs means anything the album is gonna be terribad.
how? it's pretty much the same as all other nile just with slightly cleaner production. the songwriting has not changed. it will be average at the very worst
the production on ithyphallic was amazing. by far their best album. by far their best riffs. by far their best arrangements.
the vocals are scary!
lol anthracks just shut up you idiot
sputnik old-timers jumping into the fray
nah. i'd gain more from arguing with my dog than arguing with cells. dude is so offended by me for no reason; there's no reasoning with someone who has that irrational hatred, y'know?
its not irrational hatred tho, you clearly just gave me a legit reason to get angry from the above post , first youre saying itaphayllic is their best album which alone is lol worthy.and Surely their songwriting hasnt changed but you can hear dallas' age in this song and everything is just produced horribly.
if you get angry at someone having different taste than you.......well..............i hate to awaken you to reality but not everyone likes the same things, honey
yeah you liker getting sodomized and the wrong nile albums i get it
i can only hope you come to some sort of enlightenment in life. either way i love you the same.
and im guessing your idea of enlightenment is getting raped in jail
Production on Ithyphallic was good... except for the shitty double bass plastic sound (which was MUCH better on Those Whom The Gods Detest).
This track is very good btw (I even like those higher vocals that reminds me the demos).
Those Whom The Gods Detest had great production are you high
i dont think anybody said anything about TWTGD having bad production.
TWTGD was clear, not so much Ithyphallic
