they need to drop this electro shit. I don't hate electronic music but they just can't pull it off.

This happening was kind of predictable to be honest. Their staple was always agressive rap-rock. They went through that stage every artist does when he/she/they feel as though they have a higher artistic calling than they actually do (in this case, LP went right for the U2 jugular), and when that inevitably fails they try to return to their roots, but either the style is outdated or they lost their touch.

But I'll still be awaiting the album...hopefully it isn't too terrible.

sounds like thousand suns with less creative lyrics/hooks. for what it's worth, i thought thousand suns was awesome.

The two singles were not very good, but is not at the same level of nickelback.I hope the rest of the album will be better but my expectations are not the highest, the problem is that they are trying to adapt their HT-Meteora sound to newer trends

Honestly, I've enjoyed this album more than the entirety of A Thousand Suns so far. Not as much as MTM, Meteroa or HT. But still, will probably be a 2 - 3 for me depending on the rest of the album.

This is the first time I can say that the Shinoda part of the song is the bad part. Ending was cool, but overall, very disappointing.

ATS and MTM are a 2,5 . Those albums have 4 or 5 quality songs ,the remaining tracks of those 2 albums like In Between and Robot Boy were really bad

Finally actually listened all the way through. Seems like Linkin Park is, as usual, trying to appease the mainstream genre of the year. Used to like this band years ago. Looking at them now, I almost feel embarrassed.

I love early LP and honestly didn't mind their newer stuff (a thousand suns was better than minutes to midnight) but this was pretty damn underwhelming.

Screw it, this band sucks. They need to go away.

Eep...little bit of an off day for LP on this one. Still clinging to "Burn It Down", I thought that was a great lead single and it offers me hope that they might pull it off despite this.

"Lies Greed Misery" would be a great track if the chorus didn't ruin it.

Its funny actually, in the Meteora review on this very site, the reviewer argued that the band had not explored and experimented and stuck with the same HT sound making it a HT part 2. I won't be surprised if that same person is criticizing the band right now. :-P
