Flaming Lips Guinness Record?
2012-05-24 by Jacob Royal STAFF | 44 Replies | 2205 Views

Psychedelic indie group The Flaming Lips are planning to find their way into the Guinness Book of World Records. The band is vying for a record that Jay-Z currently bolsters - he performed in seven major cities within a 24-hour time period. Wayne Coyne and company are planning on hitting eight on June 24th, and will even stream the events live.

I wonder if Jack White can join them in this record while also setting his most metaphors used in a concert setting record.

Trying to play in lots of cities within a day has absolutely nothing to do with being 'pretentious' - play nice, kids

Yo, Omaha. Trying to play in lots of cities within a day for the sole purpose of breaking the world record of a man who did the same thing except in bigger, more important cities and in front of 10x the audience these guys will be doing it in front of has everything to do with being 'pretentious.'

Not in the slightest, it's ambitious but to ascribe the word 'pretentious' towards any group that's striving for something big in their career is just haphazardly using the word itself.

More important cities? Population definitely doesn't equate to importance.

It's definitely quality over quantity in this example.

Could do that easily here in the UK everywhere is so close to each other but in the states? In 24 hours? I'm way too lazy for that shit..

I guess it all depends on what cities. I suppose that was Aso's point to a degree.

Playing major cities would be quite a feat.
