It sounds kinda poppy and a lot more rock oriented. I dig it.

Great new song!

this is like what mastodon did to their sound with "the hunter", very easy-listening and groovier

Similarity to Mastodon's Hunter hit me too. Still can't wait for this.
|
| |
They took Mastodon's hint and learned how to sing. Song kills. Can't wait for this and Gojira, gonna
be a great summer.

Saw them open for Meshuggah last friday. They played this tune, very cool.

This song sounds like a blend between Mastodon's heaviness and Torche's pop-iness. Incredible vocal lines
As far as I' m concerned Mastodon is my favorite post-2000 metal band, Baroness must be number 2

so good

It's...an interesting change of sound for them. It might be the mix for this track, but it's like they're focusing more on Baizely's vocals, which was never the draw to these guys for me. I can hardly hear any guitar! It's not in your face like "Jake Leg" or "A Horse Called Golgoltha". Maybe it'll just take a bit for this new style to grow on me, and one track is hardly representative of the style of an entire album.

Sounds like baronesses of the stone age

Baroness rawks my sawks

"They took Mastodon's hint and learned how to sing. Song kills."
Except Mastodon still can't sing, not live anyway.
Song's good, it's shaping up to be a great year for sludge.
|
| |
Boring.
|
| |
I love the catchy sludge-pop thing going on. I can dig it.
|
| |
I wish the vocals had a little more gruff to them. Otherwise ACE!

Don't judge a record because of one song. The entire thing is going to have like, 18 or something.

This reminds me of the boy whohelped me through my mums death when i was 9 and i still love him but i havent talked to him since the end of primary school and i still love him 6 years on, coz i am now 15 and i think love is torchure. He helped me when i asked him why my mum out of the people was picked to die and the next year he said coz god needed another perfect angel and when i nearly jumped off the liff he acknowledged me by saying he needed me I LOVE HIM

|
| |
sounds like rise against 3/5
|
| |
ehhh, still crap.
|
| |
sweet, saw open for Meshuggah the other night and they killed it! looking forward to this double album
|
| |
Baroness learned to sing 1/5.
Not sure how I feel about this. It's much more straightforward than their other work.
|
| |
Coming from their previous albums, this is shaping up to be more 'fun'. Sounds good to me.
|
| |
I wasn't huge on the different vocals at first (and I'm still not huge on them now), but they totally fit with this song. It's almost like a really drawn out Torche song: poppy, upbeat, & hazy. Perfect for summer.
|
| |
Apparently this is the heaviest track on the album.
|
| |
Read it on Metalsucks, they claim to have heard the whole thing
|
| |
lookin forward to seeing them open for meshuggah Thursday
|
| |
So not what I was expecting, sounds like a rocky vibe, but so interested in hearing the rest of this after this teaser.
|
| |
Didn't dig the vocals at all really but it shows some potential for the new album.
Digging: Quasimoto - Yessir Whatever
