Post-hardcore band Memphis May Fire have announced that they will be releasing a new album on June 26th. The album will be titled "Challengers" and will be the first album to have Anthony Sepe, formerly of Decoder, on guitar.
The album cover can be seen here:
Hells yeah. This pleases me greatly.
big fat meh

fuck yeah! alright.
If it's anything at all like "The Hollow" it'll be great.
Lost interest in The Hollow really fast. Hope this is different.
im kind of hoping for the southern sound they had on Sleepingwalking
So much Rise Records at once.
god i hated that southern style lol
it was great. it was like underoath meets every time i die. but i guess there wasn't enough junz
ill give it props for being different, but i like there other style better.
I think they mentioned in an interview that they're much more comfortable with this style than they
were with their more Southern one and they don't plan on going back to those roots, but minds changes
all the time.
"So much Rise Records at once."
Yeah, really. I guess they're gearing up for summer or something.
hoping for better lyrics! i want to like this band but the hollow's lyrics were just too horrible to take the album seriously.
man... i loved the more different sound. but not that i dont like The Hollows sound. i mean it
was awesome. and the lyrics were fine... wtf
the lyrics arnt orignal or anything, but there not bad
well that really isnt the importance of lyrics to be original. but to well written. and they were
its pretty important for lyrics to be original. I can only listen to so many songs about hating sluts before i want something different.
They have said there is no chance they are going back to their southern sound. They said it's too easy to write.
Sleepwalking was great. I thought The Hollow sucked. If they don't go back to their older style I def won't bother with this.
^^ Oh well then
YES YES YES !
I saw in their studio updates that they were trying hard to actually mix back in their southern sound
I enjoyed The Hollow. Solid metalcore, with some great moments.
I want a southern sound. And I also enjoyed The Hollow.
I've enjoyed every single one of their releases. I hope this one isn't a let down.
The Hollow was really boring
Digging: Childish Gambino - Because The Internet
The Hollow was insanely good, the vocal melodies were genius all along, I loved the lyrics, and they even got some awesome riffs which isn't the most common thing with Rise Records bands, the songwriting was also super memorable. I loved it the first time I heard it and I still do. If this is even near the same level, it will probably end up as one of my favorites of 2012.
hahaha creepy album cover

Should be great though, The Hollow was amazing
digging your profile pic chuck
It'd be cool if they blended some southern-y riffs with their current sound. They could pull it off I think.
Yeah agreed. It'd be cool.
Let's hope it's like or better than "The Hollow", and I don't really get the bad lyrics view. Sure, they are not original or something, although several of the songs were about his father not being present in his life, and even though they are not geniously written I'd say it takes balls to do so.
What I liked about the lyrics in The Hollow was that they were simple and catchy so they got stuck in
your head and it was very easy to sing along, yet they still had meaning and always fit the part they
were written for perfectly.
Well, at least I know I can stop caring about this band. I don't understand how any of you can say that the Hollow was good at all when it was typical rise nonsense. They at least had something a little original going for them on Sleepwalking, now they're just swimming with the rest of the metalcore masses.
The Hollow blows Sleepwalking out of the water, it's so much more focused. There's better songwriting,
and Matty is a much more proficient singer now (in the screaming and clean departments). First time I
heard the Hollow I dismissed it as another breakdown album. But getting back to it (cause I didn't
understand the general rating it has), I realized that this album was much more, and that they have
the potential to become one of the best mainstream metalcore bands out there.
Hopefully Matty explores more range in this. Stoked none the less though.
Fuck that album art is terrible. Rise has really been mailing it in in that department.
Yeah that album art was disappointing, for some reason I was waiting for a really beautiful and awesome, colourful cover. Then I see this, ehhhhh. MMF deserve better, and in my opinion they're the best mainstream metalcore band (actually my favorite from all metalcore)
I think you all rate this so highly because most of you weren't around when this sound became homogenized. I'm gunna have to write a review on The Hollow considering it doesn't have a review under 3.5 which is ludicrous.
Art is terrible, but the album should be fine.

whats up with all the shitty album art these days
The Hollow is good but only for the odd listen now and then. Hope this album has mroe lasting appeal
All bands on rise, including this one and rise itself, should just fade away.
At about two minutes in this video, there's a little sneak peak of the album; definitely sounds like The Hollow
Ugh, that album cover is beyond horrible.
prefer their old shit
Digging: Weatherbox - American Art
im kind of hoping for the southern sound they had on Sleepingwalking
There isn't enough southern style metalcore out there.
What are we considering southern metalcore?
Old MMF, Maylene and the sons of disaster, He is legend?
2012 is the year of shitty metalcore album covers.
@Hospital: All of those yep. Along with Dead and Divine, Once Nothing, A Static Lullaby, Every Time I Die, The Holly Springs Disaster, etc. Too many of them have broken up.
how could I miss ETID. I don't know many of the others aside from a static as well
also, a girl a gun a ghost
why do people like this band more than the other awful rise records bands?
