He makes some good ambient tracks, but the rest of his stuff fucking sucks. In my opinion the worst part about his songs are the gospel samples
|
| |
But nevertheless, I'm gonna check this out
|
| |
Too much hate man, he does have some bad stuff but he makes it up with the amazing albums.

1st disc will be terrible

I mean, I guess his songs aren't necessarily terrible, but just really really really boring.

Who the fuck would honestly listen to this thing? Cut it down to even 8 minutes and you'd get the same effect.
That said, I really REALLY want that Destroyed remix album though.

Yeah, he does seem to be on auto-pilot sometimes but I still find him great.

The only album I strangely enjoyed that everyone else loathed was Hotel, but other than that I don't think much of him
|
| |
I really like that album too, some of the songs there are his most sincere. Plus the ambient disc is really good. Still, Play, Destroyed and Wait For Me are the best along with Hotel.

Play was an excellent album , the only album of this guy that I hated was last night
|
| |
He will never outdo play
|
| |
Yeah 18 is a near classic.
|
| |
Bah, Play b-sides
|
| |
Now way dude. Firstly, anything labelled Play b-sides would be kickass.
And I've always felt 18 was underrated. But I think my love for it has a lot to do with because I bought it in Vancouver.
|
| |
I just feel like he deliberately tried to make Play 2.0 and he only half succeeded.
Also, there is a deluxe edition of Play with a second disc of b-sides

Whoa, such a thing exists? All I have is my wimpy single disc edition. Probably going to download it.
And as much as I like 18, I would go as far to say that Destroyed near tops it.
|
| |
18 has its B-Sides counterpart too. He really releases a lot of material which is cool. Destroyed's B-Sides album is cool too.
|
| |
Damn seems like every album I like of his has b-sides. I will be hunting.
|
| |
There is Destroyed Deluxe which has a disc with songs that weren't included on Destroyed and a DVD with lots of stuff on it. 18 has 18:The B-Sides. Also, Wait For Me has an ambient disc but I didn't find it that interesting. It's more minimalist.

i got the collector's deluxe edition that included c-sides on a cassette tape.
