Red Post New Music Video

Christian rock group Red have created a new music video for their song "Not Alone". The video consists entirely of the band's fans holding up letters showing how the song has impacted their lives.

I personally think they had better ballads in the best (Pieces, Never be the Same), but I can't help not looking down upon such a video, it's really heartwarming.

I think your religious view is irrelevant in this matter because this is about the music. As long as the video competently expresses, in a video version, the message that Red tries to convey in the song then it is successful.

But lol fanletter video!

Some ppl have some gawd-awful writing, couldn't read half of them. It's nice but many of these stories could have entirely different contexts than we think. Like the guy whose wife left him and took the kids...maybe he's an abusive husband? Alcoholic? Who knows...

Album was pretty good though, I enjoyed it and am still a fan of the band.

haha...embawassing

Oh I agree, this song was easily one of the most uninspired and boring songs on the album.

Dude, this was a heavily inspired song are you kidding me?

Could the video be any more preachy and/or egotistical?

@Pizza: iunno to me it felt like they went into the album with the idea that one track needed to be soft and touching and made the song to fit that profile

instead of simply making the song first and seeing what the song meant to them and listeners after...in short, it's generic and is analogous with that necessary acoustic track on chevelle albums (it just HAS to be there, no ifs ands or buts)

that's all i'm saying, if you liked it then it obviously hit you on a different level than it did for me

Ahh I see what you mean. Yeah that's totally possible, Red have even done that in the past. I'm just
getting a different vibe from this song/video.

Although not one of their best, the song's really inspiring even if I'm not really a religious person. Pretty nice video idea, too.

Lol I don't think I will ever be more obsessed with another band for the rest of my life Emim, won't happen. Also, we are talking about Red here to be fair who sound ridiculously similar.

Would you be surprised if I ended up being Pete Loeffler irl moseying around the site trying to convert y'all to the better things in life? =P

I love this band and album. Not one of my favorites by them, but the video was pretty neat.

@pwalcher I'll listen to all the Chevelle albums if you send me signed vinyls.

Yup it's in the mail!

Personally, they aren't a band that must be heard on vinyl, neither is Red. Waste of money if you ask me.

Yeah, this song does feel a little forced compared to their older soft songs like Pieces, Already Over pt. 2, etc. but I think it came out pretty well.

The video was a cool idea, though could have been pulled off better. Either way it's a good message that's helping a lot of people, so there's really nothing wrong with it.

And this is coming from a guy whose first favorite band was Red.
