New Demon Hunter Album
2012-03-05 by fromtheinside | 19 Comments
Solid State Records recently announced Christian metal behemoth Demon Hunter will release their sixth(!) album True Defiance April 12, 2012. Frontman Ryan Clark boasts the album will be their "most aggressive..." and, "Something our fans would love and something that will turn the heads of those who have ignored us for the past decade." The album, produced by Aaron Sprinkle of Emery and Anberlin fame, has Solid State exclaiming its potential to "break and erase the rules of hard rock".

In true 'return to roots' fashion the band is also releasing three different cover arts specific to each version of the album. The Standard Edition #1 artwork can be viewed below.

That album art is awesome, never been much of a fan of this band though. Storm the Gates of Hell had some cool tracks.

Track titles sound like typical Jesuscore...hopefully still has some kickers.

Single does absolutely nothing for me.

I'm stoked, although idk why the second blog post they made is a video of them talking about
their food OCD's.

Calling them "Christian metal behemoths" is the most ridiculous thing I've heard today

The single sucked, sounded like something that could have easily been on just about any DH album. Nothing new, nothing impressive, nothing interesting. Yeah I'll pass on this one.

not a serious description curse.

Clark has rapidly become the reason this band will never reach their full potential.

is 'dead flowers' gonna be a stones cover?

also album artwork is badass, and Sprinkle also did the production (and I believe played guitar) on the Pedro the Lion album 'Control' which is a cool sounding album.

I'm gonna have to agree. I really like some of his lyrics, assuming it is him that writes them... but his vocals are very boring in pretty much every way, and even if the instrumentals turn out to be good the vocals will hold every song back.

The fact that this guy doesnt do ANYTHING different with his vocals each time around is what ruins this band for me.
