I mean this is news, but who cares about an album name without no other info to go with it?

why did this get approved

how about "The Gaslight Anthem announce new album" and then a quick summary including the album's title and projected release date. the news feature on this site is getting more autistic by the day.

I really hope these guys can bounce back from American Slang. I know a lot of people like AS, but I think it pales in comparison to their first two albums.

Ridiculously excited for this.

But yeah, at least wait until the details have been announced before making a news article.

any band with over 200 ratings is overrated

I don't get why everyone's complaining. A relatively well-regarded band named their new album, which means that there is a new album, which is something most people (myself included), did not know before, making it new. Making it news. It is new. News.

No one is complaining that this isn't news (in fact, if you scroll up and see my comment where I said that this was news......). But the terrible article submissions are what we're getting annoyed about

I guess that could be irritating. Especially if you're a reviewer.

I guess you could say that this piece of news could have remained 'unwritten', at least for now.

this so hard. I mean, AS was ok and all, but SoS and 59 Sound destroy it.

Don't staff have the ability to reject them? or maybe even edit them? or at the the very worst submit their own, well written news article instead?

Nope, just the mods

or at the the very worst submit their own, well written news article instead?

Don't have to be staff to be a good writer, there's plenty here. It's not bad writing, just that 90% of the people who submit news articles just don't bother to put any effort into them

No I agree with that.
doesn't help that they go all over the place if you edit them

The Horrible Crowes are much more to my liking than this original Brian Fallon band, but his voice has a real uniqueness to it that I really enjoy.
