80 Musicians Cover Dylan

80 musicians, ranging from Elvis Costello to Bad Religion to Mylie Cyrus, have recorded 75 Bob Dylan cover songs for inclusion on a charity compilation album called Chimes of Freedom, which honors the 50th year anniversary of Amnesty International.
One of those artists, Rise Against, have made a video for their cover of "The Ballad of Hollis Brown."

The rise against cover is unbearable. The disconnect between the lyrics and the mood of the music is painful, and the interview tidbits don't help in any way to make it seem cohesive.

Rise's wasn't completely unbearable.

My god these are awful. The cover of one of my favorite songs "Subterranean homesick blues" by michael franti is fucking unbearable. Ill just go back to listening to dylan sing

Some of these are really good, though, they're the ones that you'd expect to be good.
The Bryan Ferry cover is wonderful IMO. Miley's isn't actually terrible, but then again that's relative as the worst cover definitely belongs to Dave Matthews Band. Worst All Along The Watchtower ever.
