Miley Cyrus? wtf?
What the fuck?
What in the fuck?
hmm could be cool
There are 80 artists on 75 songs. Kesha does one. Silversun Pickups are there. Tom Morello, Sting, Lenny Kravitz.
Sadly, Kesha's cover of Dylan is probably her best song ever. :-/
2nite imma fight till we see da sunlite
expect that gabepiratesquad guy in here later.
ugh amnesty. they paid their chairman like £800,000 last year. stupid.
pretty cool tbh.
Demi Lovato covers Miles Davis.
what a weird compilation
"Demi Lovato covers Miles Davis" couldnt have said it better
Should probably just change the article to announce the compilation as a whole. Not just Rise Against.
kesha did don't think twice?
what in the fucking fuck
Flogging Mollys cover is pretty damn good.
yea listenin to the flogging molly cover and it rules but i want kesha's head on a fucking pike
ugh fuck life
Bob Dylan must be joyful having ke$ha there.
Flogging Mollys cover is the only one I was interested in, glad it is good.
It's such a random selection of artists on this though.
Band of Skulls
The Gaslight Anthem
Johnny Cash featuring The Avett Brothers
Mariachi El Bronx
My Morning Jacket
Queens of the Stone Age
those I'm interested in, gonna listen to it in a second
The rise against cover is unbearable. The disconnect between the lyrics and the mood of the music is painful, and the interview tidbits don't help in any way to make it seem cohesive.
let's see if any of these other ones are any good... gogo band of skulls!
not really. but i enjoyed these:
Johnny Cash - One too many mornings
Tom Morello The Nightwatchman - Blind William McTell
Mariachi El Bronx - Love Sick
Adele - make you feel my love
gaslight Anthem - changing of the guards
silversun pickups - not dark yet
airborne toxic event - boots of spanish leather
mark knopfler - restless farewell
queens of the stone age - outlaw blues
neil finn with pajama club - she belongs to me
bad reliogion - it's all over now, baby blue
ed roland and the sweet tea project - shelter from the storm
taj mahal & the phantom blues band - bob dylan's 115th Dream
micheal franti - subterranean homesick blues
we are augustines - mama, you been on my mind
eric burdon - gotta serve somebody
I was shocked to find that Mileys cover was good
Knopfler's cover is pretty good, as I expected it would be.
Rise's wasn't completely unbearable.
Seconding that this article should be an announcement of the comp rather than Rise Against. Will listen to Flogging Molly and Queens of the Stone Age covers after this.
Can't be that good but I will probably listen to every second of this.
Silverstein is probably the most unlikely artist on the comp.
Digging: Hospital - Knifeland
^More unlikely than Kesha? Really?
Also, confirming the awesomeness of Flogging Molly and QotSAs covers.
I've nly heard the covers by Bad Religion, Rise Against, Flogging Molly and The Bronx
Digging: Useless Children - Post Ending // Pre Completion
Seconding that this article should be an announcement of the comp rather than Rise Against.
Duly noted and fix'd.
how'd the johnny cash avett brothers one turn out?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nej4xJe4Tdg - not a cover, but weird al rendition of a bob dylan type song. pretty cool video if you haven't seen it
ke$ha $$houlda $ung gotta $$$erve $omebody
the rise against cover wasn't atrocious
nice the gaslight anthem covering one of my favourite bob dylan songs
Old news but some of the covers are pretty cool, especially Flogging Molly!
Hell, even Miley's song isn't half bad, but I'm only saying that because my balls are currently on loan
gotcha balls bitch.
ya, i want bob's take on the kesha and miley covers..
Queens of the Stone Age cover is fantastic.
too much weird to comprehend
My god these are awful. The cover of one of my favorite songs "Subterranean homesick blues" by michael franti is fucking unbearable. Ill just go back to listening to dylan sing
Some of these are really good, though, they're the ones that you'd expect to be good.
The Bryan Ferry cover is wonderful IMO. Miley's isn't actually terrible, but then again that's relative as the worst cover definitely belongs to Dave Matthews Band. Worst All Along The Watchtower ever.
