Death Magnetic wasn't incredible, but it had some good jams on it. my chief complaint was that songs seemed to drag on forever (The End of The Line) so if they tighten things up, who knows? could be good.

I'm looking forward to it. Death Magnetic was pretty damn good I thought, easily better than any album they had made in the previous 17 or so years beforehand.

People shouldn't blame Metallica for Lulu's atrocious lyrics though, Lou wrote all of that "I am the table!" nonsense. And I thought the actual music itself on Lulu wasn't even that bad, just ruined by Reed.

Lulu was just plain awful, but death magnetic honestly wasnt that bad i would say on par with the black ablum. As long as this album has more in common with DM than lulu i will be happy.

It's funny how all the "use to be" Metallica fans visit this thread so often. If you don't like Metallica's records anymore then just move on. I agree their not as good as their old shit, but at least they've tried different things. How many bands have put together 4-5 kick ass albums and influenced an entire generation of music at the same time? Not to mention making albums in which every track is sick as fuck! It's extremely rare for bands to do that once, let alone several times. These guys are old as dirt and still shred heavy shit. How many of us could play thrash metal for 30+ years, performing an endless amount of tours, and still come out with decent stuff? Thats what i thought. Most critics are losers that just like to hate on shit cuz their life blows. So fuck all you haters! Keep rockin Metallica! If you can't produce another Master of Puppets, so be it. I'm just thankful I have the option to rip that album whenever I please! m/
