i saw em play in Chicago right after The Final Frontier came out. it was fucking aweeeeeeeeeeeesome. living proof that it's possible for a classic metal band to consistently kick ass into the 2000's without selling out. m/

Hell yeah. Love this band, any output at all, live album or whatever, always a pleasure.

Their Frontier tour was amazing. Wonder what happened to that live footage from the AMoLaD tour they did a while ago. It never was released.

Fucking hell, ANOTHER live Maiden album... I feel like it was only yesterday when I was filling out the store order for Flight 666 and thinking to myself "Fucking hell, ANOTHER live Maiden album... I feel like it was only yesterday when I was filling out the store order for Death on the Road and thinking to myself "Fucking hell, ANOTHER live Maiden album... I feel like it was only yesterday when...""

Yeah, post-reunion live albums are a bit stale nowadays.
|
| |
Yeah I really don't need this. Love me some Maiden but too many DVD's is over kill. I also thought they were kinda boring/not loud enough when I saw them for a second time at Soundwave but then again that could of been the boring crowd too.
Digging: Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork

Out of curiosity, what city did you attend Soundwave at? The Sydney crowd was shamefully lethargic.
|
| |
This track listing is 3/5.
Digging: Black Sabbath - 13

Melbourne. I bailed after an hour to catch Gaslight Anthem who played in a shed where everyone was going bonkers and obviously loved being there. Was definitely the better crowd!

I think Apocalypsenonowman thinks Iron Maiden produces overrated shit...
|

The last two studio albums were yawn-fests (especially FF, the setlist has way too much from that one, although its understandable).
Digging: Underoath - Anthology: 1999-2013

Exactly the same setlist when I saw them.
Digging: Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness

This could have benefited without the use of some songs on their past three live albums. It wouldn't have hurt to play a bit from AMoLaD, for example.
|
| |
I saw them in Denver with Dream Theater. That was a day for the record books (it was my first time seeing either of them).
|
| |
I was at the Denver show too. Dream Theater started their set a few minutes early and I almost missed As I Am.

these guys never stop

like 5th time ive seen something about iron maiden today on sputnik...like i said, sputconnection. we are one.

Sounds pretty sick, I'll probably check the footage on youtube first to see if I want to buy it.
|
| |
I want this now, but I think the tracklist is not so good. Too much songs from the disappointing The Final Frontier album, no song from AMoLaD (where's For the Greater Good of God, one of the band's greatest songs?). Tracks like Coming Home or the first three tracks, are all average Maiden songs. If they say Final Frontier, then I say Starblind rather then these. Anyway, Talisman and When the Wild Wind Blows are great. They should be waiting for the 15th album and have to publish a major DVD with the biggest hits and some bonus pearls (like Virus or Sea of Madness).
