James Blake's 'A Case Of You'

2011-12-19 by Deviant STAFF | 26 Comments
Dubstep musician James Blake has released the video for his song 'A Case Of You'.

A cover of Joni Mitchell, the track is taken from his recent Enough Thunder EP, and also appears on the special edition of his eponymous debut LP.

Reportedly a fan of both Joni Mitchell and Blake's cover, the video stars British actress Rebecca Hall, recently seen in crime drama 'The Town'.

The video can be viewed at the link below.

I've never heard James Blake before, but I adore this song. Is it a good representation of his music? If I wanted to get into him more, where would I start?

Thanks guys!

It's a pretty fair representation of where he's at now, but where he's at now could change into something else entirely at the drop of a hat. If you like this, check out Enough Thunder, Klavierwekre and his self-titled LP

I'm thinking this is the only James Blake song that I really enjoy. It's practically the only song that is just his voice and a piano... the rest get a little obnoxious with the vocal effects and pauses of little to no sound.

He has such a interesting voice, it's a shame he seems to hate it lol.

This track was really cool of him to do, but if he only made songs like this, it'd get a bit stale IMO. He's awesome at what he does, but it's not immediately lovable for everyone. I say give his s/t a few more listens before coming to a conclusion about him.

Probably my favourite that I've heard from him. Took me ages to get into this guy.

Almost as good as the original.

That's a huge accomplishment, if you're a Joni Mitchell fan at least.
