Heralded Manchester rock band the Stone Roses have confirmed that they will reunite for a world tour next summer.
The four original members - Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni - will perform together for the first time in 15 years when they play back to back shows in Manchester's 70,000-capacity Heaton Park on June 29 and 30.
The group also revealed at a press conference in London that they plan to record new material.

They don't suck, they're just not mindblowingly good or anything close to that.
Saw this coming a mile off. Still it's about fucking time!
Their first album was a total classic, and second coming was underrated. Definitely seeing them.
love their debut. shame brown can't hold a note to save his life live though.
Come to KC!

The vast majority of reunions are.
I'm fairly indifferent to this. I like The Stone Roses but think they're wayyy overrated.
SO MUCH JOY.
IN MY HEART.
Cannot wait to see what comes of this.
They definitely don't suck. I don't feel like seeing them live would be that great though, probably best just to go back and listen to their first record.
Band was the shit in their time , even the second coming is a great album .

Live shows are going to be absolute crap. But the news makes me very happy nonetheless.

Fucking hate this band. Going to fucking hate how everybody won't shut up about them for the few weeks even more.
Sputnik hating on The Stone Roses, why?
John Squire playing guitar is a good thing.
