"Truly Random Code" & "The Blowtorch Is Applied to the Sugar" are both insanely good. Why would these
guys lead off with "Orange Time Machines Care" & " Think Dirty Out Loud" as their singles?

I agree on the poor singles choices, ace album though!

The Blowtorch Is Applied to the Sugar is such a brilliant song. The whole album is awesome.

@pmmets07 If all you know about music is how to tell who's voice is singing, then yeah I guess the fact that Kurt uses his voice on this album makes them like DGD. All other factors (i.e. how he sings, the nature of the music, the song structure, the lack of double bass, the lack of constant noodling guitar, correy's vocal dynamics, the time signatures, the odd phrasing) could not be further from the truth. In reality, you are probably 15, so you are forgiven for your ignorance.

Whoah, someone's mad.
Album is good, although I was a lot more impressed by their first. Still rules though.

pretty underwhelmed by this. sounds like they ditched all their experimental and interesting instrumentation for a more straight ahead post-hardcore sound, definitely for the worst

I enjoyed it quite a bit the first time I listened to it.

No one on this fucking website ever enjoys change. I loved the new album just as much as Plan B. Quit comparing shit and you might be able to hear what's actually happening in the music, it got way more technical and the progressiveness is still completely there. The band had to release something practical for touring and they did one hell of a job.

Despite the feeling that this feels like Happiness II sometimes, I really like this a lot. Vanity's Fair, Truly Random Code and Tantrum are excellent

can't get over how good tantrum is. there's definitely some dgd similarities, but significant differences as well. this is better than dbmII imo.

the talking parts are awesome too.

Maybe because change isn't always fucking good you retarded prick. Anyway, I thought the album was pretty good but was definitely lacking.

this is seriously one of the best things i've heard in a very long time.
picture a dance gavin dance, except they actually know how to play their instruments.

Though arguing with anyone on this site is usually an exercise in frustration, fagnutzzz's comment about DGD is a complete falsehood. I agree that this is a very good album, though not the best thing I've heard in a while. I completely disagree that they are like DGD, but can play their instruments. The music (in most songs) is not even comparable to DGD since the styles are so different. Also, saying that DGD can't play their instruments is just stupid; whether you like them or not, they all have technical talent.

IT'S LIEK PROGCOER DGD GUYS!!!!!!!

Nice addition to vox, the seamless progressions are sweet (WHOA! 7/8 TIME SIGNATURE!!!!!!). These guys are good. Not amazing. Feels like a debut more than a sophomore effort. Most likely because it was written by all of them.

so many dgd similarities, second vocalist sounds almost exacting like jon mess. and with the additional of kurt travis, its ridiculous (but in a good way) this album is already better than anything dgd has put out. if this was a different band entirely and it was just a debut, i think the majority of this site would praise the album. i dont understand why people would bash this just for being different from their previous release. its. a. good. fucking. album.
