This guys pissed me off more than most of the rest of the pop radio crowd not because of how bad he is but because of how good he is. The dude's got talent; if you listen to some of his stuff every now and then you're like, "hey that was a pretty good idea there!" Then he always proceeds to sabotage it with cookie-cutter songwriting and trite lyrics. No one makes me "ugh" as much as Bruno Mars.

Most of the time, the artist in question doesn't write or rarely have a lot of input regarding the lyrical content, meaning, or structure of their songs. See, mainstream record companies know how to make songs that will instantly fly on radio stations and hook millions of casual music listeners, and that's done usually by writing cheesy but "emotional" lyrics while at the same time creating music that relies on overused but effective melodies that any 5 year old can come up with. Bruno Mars is a talented singer, but because he has decided to put himself into the mainstream light, he must suffer the effects of large record companies essentially dictating his musical direction.

So please, enough with the immature bursts of anger, 'kay?

Not to say your point isn't entirely accurate krig9412, because it certainly is, but Bruno is kind one of those guys who writes pop songs for other people already, so I would expect him to participate more in the writing process itself than most other pop stars.
