I was under the impression that Metallica was just doing the music and Reed all the vocals. But Hetfield sings too? Great. Now, instead of being able listen once and laugh at it, I'm just going to end up raging at the wasted potential due to half of it sounding good.

Too bad the music seems to take a direct back seat to Reed's "vocals." If I could hear the music better and just kind of block out his voice (tough, I know), this would probably be more enjoyable. Who am I kidding though, I have to buy this, if for nothing else than to satiate my morbid curiosity.

Still hoping that this might be some what good despite what I just heard. Lou's voice sounded bad but Hetfield left me with something to feel good about the last ten seconds.

Did anyone actually expect this to be anything other than the worst thing ever? It's a 100 year old Lou Reed, so there's no way he's contributing anything good. And then it's Metallica, so again, you knew it would blow.

Just thought of an alternate view, an optimistic view, a NON-SPUTNIK view....

MAYBE...JUST MAYBE...

These are the WORST 30 seconds on the album by a LONG SHOT, and anything they put out from here on out, compared to this snippet of an awful 30 seconds, will sound legendary...
