holy shit, is that grindcore?
"holy shit, is that grindcore?"
Holy shit, is that dumb?
so i'm officially stoked now.
Digging: Of Virtue - Salvation
Not bad. Not great either, but not bad
What can you say about a 40 sec clip really, but my impression is that their new vocalist will make them rather generic. And indeed, sounds very like ETID.
New vocalist kicks the old one's ass.
Digging: Kingdom of Giants - Ground Culture
fuck off Gallows, you and City and Colour killed one of my favourite bands
Saw this earlier after ETID tweeted it. Thought it was them. Pretty good imo.
um holy shit is that Wade singing/screaming? sounds bad fucking ass, maybe I need to give these guys another try
Sounded pretty good. I will agree Wade does sound a lot like Keith from ETID.
Keith is a fucking boss. Hope to see a new ETID record later this year (I don't wanna wait until 2012).
at first i thought dang this is probably gonna suck alexisonfire wasn't that good in the first place but now im pretty excited
"Keith is a fucking boss. Hope to see a new ETID record later this year (I don't wanna wait until 2012)."
seriously dude. I was almost offended at the first comment saying so but then I swallowed my drunken pride and realized the similarities are wquite palpable.
really stoked to see how this all turns out
Yeah, this is awesome. Doesn't sound any bit like Grey Britain, but I knew it wouldn't. I'm stoked to see how the record turns out. And yeah definitely has an ETID feel to it.
I really enjoyed the old vocalist. bummed they got a new one : /
On a brighter note it isn't too bad.
all of that sounded like ETID.
this was way better than i thought it'd be
I was indifferent about the new vocalist and wasn't that stoked but this actually made me pretty excited.
"old one would kick your ass."
Maybe so, but that doesn't make my statement any less true.
Song would have been much better with Frank imo
i mean frank was awesome but whoa that ruled
yeah but hes no jeff rosenstock
i think that was Grindcore
hmm never been a fan, but ETID references make me intrigued.
Not sure about the track. I have Grey Britain at 5 so it may take me a while to accept anything new they do now
it just sounds like a totally different band, has nothing to do with their previous stuff...
Frank Carter, out. Took with him most of my respect for this great band.
I think I'll love this once I get used to it
The Track was ok. Guitat work seemd alot more generic than their previous work. the new vocalist is actually pretty good but its just not the same without frank.
"Frank Carter, out. Took with him most of my respect for this great band."
Obviously not a great 'band' if you only care about the vocalist, dickhead.
It's nice to see that they're not trying to chase after Frank's legacy
This is great.
HEY I DIDN'T KNOW EVERY TIME I DIE RELEASED A NEW TRACK
I like it, still gutted about Frank Carter leaving, though. He's a great frontman.
Sounds like Rise and Fall
I didn't know wade had it in him, still think the live show will lose a lot of energy without Frank though.
I'm now officially won over
It sounds great. And I get everyone's feelings toward the new singer - he ain't no Frank. I think if they changed their name from Gallows to something else it would be redeemable. In fact, I feel like most bands should do that when they completely change their sound. But HEY, that's just me.
It's not very similar to ETID except being spazzy and the vocals. I like it more than Grey Boring but it's spazzy hardcore we've all heard.
Its cool and all, but its not Frank.
Why not just release a 30 second preview of a good song
Obviously it's not Frank Gallows, and even if they tried to imitate it it would probably fall flat on it's face. It's still sounds great so you can't hold much against them
Oh, this is Buffalo 666.
disliked Gallows before, let's see where they go with this sound. I dig the ETID similarities
Oh and *"True Colours"
When I want to listen to ETID I'll listen to ETID, not to Gallows. Wtf is wrong with you people?
Chasing after the sound and legacy of Frank would be stupid for Gallows. With Frank out and Wade in, they're a whole new band, so you can expect a whole new sound
Ehhhhhh, we'll see. Could be good.
A whole new sound doesn't mean a ripoff of other bands in the same genre. We have plenty of that to go around.
I enjoyed this, only the end groove really sounded like ETID.
Digging: Thaw - Earth Ground
These guys are British, why are the lyrics about the fourth of July?
It really has nothing to do with the fourth of July though.
Uh this is amazing. Wasn't really a big Gallows fan before, but now I will likely go see them.
Except for the fact they say it during the whole second half of the song
I’m glad you were paying attention to the rest of the lyrics/video.
"These guys are British, why are the lyrics about the fourth of July?"
It's just a lyric
Ick. Hated this, I hope they buck up when it comes to releasing an album.
should've changed the band name...
Digging: CZARFACE - Every Hero Needs a Villain
that was cool, wasn't really a fan of frank so maybe i'll dig the new stuff
"Sounds like Cancer Bats..."
Now that you mention it..
i liked gallows better when they sounded unique
Digging: Neurosis - Souls at Zero
WAIT TILL THEY SEND YOUR SON HOME IN A BOX
SEE IF YOU'RE DANCING WHEN WATER IS EVERYWHERE
Digging: Jamie xx - In Colour
too bad the alexis ship sank, but they were losing their touch imo. this was intense.
makes no sense to replace your british singer for wade. im confused.
I think they didn't want to continue their previous sound. i.e. to try something new
