That is a pretty awful cover, might be a fun album though.

I really liked The Blackening, but my expectations for this are pretty low.

As covers go it's better than heads on a tree (Content aware fill pls Opeth), but i think this album is going to be a bit boring after hearing the lack of progression from the single.

The Heritage cover is great compared to this. I actually don't get the hate for that cover much at all, it's better than most other Opeth covers. I was expecting a bit more from Machine Head considering that The Blackening had a pretty cool art style going on.

if this is half as good as the blackening it will still beat a lot of albums this year

Will probably listen to this when it comes out. The Blackening was okay at best and only had a few standout tracks but the first single from this album sounds pretty good
