Band makes me feel like stan in south park, where everyone else is hearing normal music, but i hear people shitting into my headphones.
|
| |
lol
Best part of this song: No singing. Thank God.
|
| |
@spec
remember reading something about CDs being more expensive there or something so they add an bonus track to make it feel more "special"
|
| |
It's quite refreshing to have a song absent of Rody's Vocals. He's amazing but they can get tiresome after a while.

Love this instrumental.
|
| |
shouldve replaced Reign of Unending Terror on the album
also a part near the end reminded me of something Devin Townsend would do

three more tracks (rumored to be) coming

Awesome track

CDs cost over 30,000 yen ($30) each there for some reason. I'd say that merits a little bonus content.
I would know, I bought a CD at a Tower Records in Tokyo. Wallet hurt.

they dont all cost 30 bucks but yeah shit in japan costs so much money
|
| |
cool
|
| |
well, over here (Switzerland) CD's cost 30$ too, but we get no bonus tracks :-(
I always thought Japanese got those bonus track because they buy more CDs, but I never saw the actual
selling numbers, so I could be wrong

A gigantic bag of meh.

"i liked that more than just about everything on scurrilous."
Pretty much. I think they should go instrumental.
|
| |
"I think they should go instrumental.'
yep. song was awesome
|
| |
cool instrumental track
|
| |
"I think they should go instrumental.'
Yeah, protest the singer.
|
| |
at one point Scurrilous was in my top 5 for the year. haven't listened to it in months.
idk if i care enough to listen to this. also, rody's voice is one of the things that i like the most about them.
|
| |
I liked it. To be honest, I thought it would have been better if Rody had been on it.
|
| |
cool song. sounded more proggy than usual. maybe that was just because there was no rody.
|
| |
Could have used vocals

reminds me of when In Flames used to do instrumental stuff. Jester Race? Wayfaerer? cmaaaaaaaaaaaaan

This would have made a nice instrumental interlude in place of Unending Terror. Song rules, anyone else notice the harmonics in the clean section belong to the Star Trek theme?

good stuff
|
| |
They are trekkies/trekkers. It was good, but I still feel it could have used Rodys vocals. They and a center to the song.
|
| |
It was good. Scurrilous needed something like this.

It really does sound a lot like Selkies.
|

they should get another singer (i'm more important than anyone on this planet, they better satisfy me). he goes in my opinion too often for the high pitch, no matter how much I try, I always get the picture of a winy emo inside my head. Not what I need.
as for the instrumental, I dunno if you can really call it an instrumental. you can feel the void left intentionally so it can be filled by a singer.
|
| |
totally kawaiii~

Yeah because Protest the Hero need to listen to what you say just because it's not what you need. Congrats on looking like an asshole.

sounds good without the vocals
|

Fuck yeah.

K. CDs in Malaysia cost 40 bucks and we get LESS songs than you guys for heaven's sake. It has nothing to do with cost guys. The bonus content is to encourage folks in Japan to buy CDs, as sales in that region have always been traditionally low(er) than elsewhere in the world. Also - combat piracy, anyone?

this track is fucking beautiful!
damn i think my faith was just restored in this band
|
| |
Beautiful.
|
| |
lol nice avatar Irving :D
|

You'll all call me a typical BTBAM fan for saying this, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who agrees. The first minute or so sounds EXTREMELY similar to BTBAM's "Selkies". The riff sounds distinctly similar, especially how they both go up a step in the middle. Come at me, bros.
|
| |
Some of the guys are a little ahead of you on that comparison bro, there is a recurring riff that reminds me of the intro riff to "Selkies" though but that's about it. Song fucking rules also.
|
| |
This is that band where you listen obsessively to their new album for a couple weeks or maybe a month, then you put it aside and rarely ever listen to it again.
Basically, they suck ass.
|
| |
Pretty good song. Has elements of StS in it.
|
| |
Also - combat piracy, anyone?
Nah, I'll pass.
|
| |
OK song.

that's not how you spell 'whiny'. and i don't think you actually know what emo is.
|
| |
Don't even like this band very much; probably because of the annoying as fuck, yet talented singer,
but i really dig this song.
But also I agree with everyone that's saying this sounds almost exactly like selkies
|
| |
A whiny emo kid is the exact opposite of what I picture when I hear Rody's voice. The man must have something in his ears
|
| |
Whenever I picture Rody I imagine a tall, beefy trucker named Skeeter ready to violate me in the dirty bathroom of a truckstop in Arizona while his pitbull guards the door, smoking a cigarette.
|
| |
the pitbull is smoking a cigarette? haha
|
| |
Affirmative.
|
| |
that was tasty
