Two weeks old, but a fairly nice tribute even if you don't like the band.

Sounds like a shitty Social Distortion cover band.
| |
Insightful.
| |
We have a great user in the making here.
| |
Cool vid. meh song.
| |
i remember when i used to listen to this band in like 6th grade.....
| |
you're a cool guy
| |
can't delete the commments? oO
anyway, I'm sure this video means much to them, and it's done quite nicely. But it doesn't bring
anything new or interesting from a musical POV

anyway, I'm sure this video means much to them, and it's done quite nicely. But it doesn't bring
anything new or interesting from a musical POV I don't know about you, but writing a heartfelt acoustic song in honor of your fallen comrade seems entirely logical to me and it really shouldn't be "experimental" or "musically fresh" or anything. I'm sure you all hoped they'd write a brutal death metal song where they curse and blame god for taking The Rev away from them but come on.
| |
Good video, the last half was particularly powerful. It turns from a meh song into a good song when that solo comes in.
| |
I don't think it's a good song at all. The songwriting just falls flat. And the singer... Uh.
| |
last half was good
| |
RIP the Rev
| |
omg, a D-chord!
| |
I have to agree that the singer is meh and some of the lyrics at the beginning don't quite fit, but really it's just their own goodbye and memorial song and there's no reason to hate on it.
| |
still, it's like 10 billion times better than this:

I thought it was a sweet video. Gotta remember that these guys were just a small band at one point, all close friends (since probably before they actually formed the band) that saw the highs and lows of their careers together. Seemed like a very sincere video to me.
Gotta put aside the hate, at least for this. ;)
| |
I thought he left the band, I didn't know he died, and I was gonna say this was quite embarrassing. But now I can see the point and it makes a little more sense. Song wasn't good though.
| |
Agree with Andcas, even if you don't like them, respect this video. Well done, RIP The Rev
| |
does that say their late drummer Synyster Gates
| |
nice vid
| |
does that say their late drummer Synyster Gates [2]
haha saw that right away. goes to show how much we still care
| |
I didnt think it was a bad song at all. Maybe it was because i had a little more respect for the song before even hearing it, being how it was about a dead friend
| |
lol, synyster gates the drummer.
| |
The Rev was the drummer. Fix this.
| |
rip syn
| |
Truly an inspiration for an entire generation of eyeliner-wearing guitarists
| |
^ who the hell is that in your avatar?
| |
The dude from the Defiler video.
| |
haha I just found it on youtube...and the first line is "fuck ayoooouuuuu"
It makes sense now.
| |
someone higher up changed this because I haven't touched it.
divine intervention
| |
andcas, as the original author you can still change it back.
| |
He doesn't want to fuck with God.
| |
Ugh. The links never work on my touch.
| |
...and fucked up the formatting.
| |
One of the few songs I liked from Nightmare.
| |
This gives me chills. Great video.
| |
The part with the kids and driving around was silly. Second half with the real clips was great.
| |
song was actually pretty good, and I thought the video was very well done
makes me want to revisit Grade 9 Adrian who would probably be rocking out to "Waking The Fallen" right now
| |
Used to love that album so much. Still jam it every now and then.
| |
Good song.
| |
-That was a meaningful tribute.
-You guys are awful.
| |
Shadows ruins this by trying to make himself the main focus for like half of the video
| |
Beautiful send off for The Rev. Very well done.
