Wait, did they re-unite or something? This is awesome btw.
1 is enough.. im guessing each one is 5 hours long anyway
Each one is an hour long...It's Isis, so whatever they release, it'll be amazing.
Heard about this a few days ago, kind of stoked, but wishing this was new material instead of back-catalogue. No, it's not a reunion, posthumous.
It's Isis, so whatever they release, it'll be amazing.
oh man cant argue with this damn
mite b cool. band has always been better live than on record.
I remember watching a video of them performing Panopticon start to finish and being absolutely blown away. These guys are the number one band I regret not seeing live. I still pray to Odin every night for their reunion, but, going by the very nature of the band, I'm betting that's not going to happen.
saw them feb last year u jelly
Lime green jelly.
Watching them live is unreal.
my initial reaction was 'WHAT?!' in disbelief. Anyhow, this sounds really cool.
ISIS ISIS ISIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Digging: The Pillows - Nook in the Brain
Fuck yeah.
looks like they've run out of money
Well maybe if they ran out of money there will be a reunion. Unlikely seeing that Aaron turner runs a pretty successful label and has other projects.
Damn I wish I had seen them live...
I saw them once just before they announced their break up. It was good but they strictly played stuff from Wavering Radiant.
haven't these been out for years already
Oarsome, so glad I saw these guys live before they split, it was like an 80 minute trance
yeah but they're relatively hard to get. I ordered Live V from some company called.Blue Collar Industries, I was pretty sure it was a scam at the time...but it's an amazing record. Reviewed it here.
I think the band called it quits at the right time. With this kind of music, it takes a lot of creativity and progression and when you get to a certain point where you start becoming an imitation of yourself, that's when bands should call it quits.
They hadn't quite gotten to that point, and actually Wavering Radiant was awesome. But they obviously felt like the project had run it's creative course and I respect them for that.
Think about how much more respect Dredg would have now if they stopped after Catch Without Arms?
NOW look at them. They are a fucking joke.
Saw them in 2005 in Baton Rouge with about 50 people. The show was unreal...
they should also do a box set . Saw them in 2009 , one of the best live bands i have seen
Saw them live in Baton Rouge in 2009..great mix of stuff from all albums...Isis R.I.P.
Fuck. Why digital? If I'm paying for it, I want to at least have a physical copy.
"looks like they've run out of money"
Hahaha this so much.
So glad i saw them before they broke up....
They sound awesome live. I just wonder if they were able to capture that on these albums, as most bands aren't really able to.
I hope one of the sets is heavy on Oceanic and In the Absence of Truth material. With So Did We as the closing song. Too much to hope for?
marketing ploy? maybe, maybe not. still awesome.
@Razed Heres the setlists for each release
One more album!
I want vinyl!!!
This one is perfect:
Isis Live III 12.17.04
Release date: June 28, 2011
Recorded at The Launchpad (Albuquerque)
1. So Did We
3. The Beginning and the End
4. In Fiction
5. Wills Dissolve
6. Grinning Mouths
7. Altered Course
Lol what ? 5 sounds awesome
Nearly all of those releases range from average to terrible - mostly due to the sound quality being worse than the early Napalm Death demos. Seriously.
Live V is amazing, though. Sounds WAY batter than the Oceanic LP.
Isis to Release 5 Live Albums
um whathefuck I'm cool with that.
i have live V and have to agree it sounds great the live version of 'Weight' is amazing.
Has it really been A YEAR!?
oh man this is gonna be so boring ur all gonna love this FIVE OUT OF FIVE
Damn 5 live albums that's pretty sick.
4 is good but 5 is significantly better. I was never able to get 1-3 before they were sold out so I'm definitely looking forward to this
That's pretty sweet.

what? dredg is awesome now too. you have to see them live modernly
saw these guys play their final show....it was magic. 5 live albums is awesome, hopefully one is of their last show...
these are out already, right? just a repress. no care
Ugh I have never cared for Isis outside of Panopticon. Is this worth my while? Wavering Radiant was so underwhelming.
Have you listened to any of their other stuff, dude? All their LP's are amazing in their own right and a bit different from one another so you should try them all.
Oceanic took me ages to get into, but it's my second favourite, right after Panopticon.
Wait - are these 5 live albums just rereleases/remasters of the old Live 1-5 set they have? Because that would be disappointing, since they're mostly old shows and some of them are audience bootlegs.
This is...huh, WOW!
It's Isis, so whatever they release, it'll be amazing. (2)
but it won't be the same as seeing them live.. ='(
Thats actually really cool.
Digging: Belgrado - Siglo XXI
iv seen them live. roskilde festival.strange band
Live 1 is available for purchase and download on isistheband.com for anyone interested! I'm jammin to it now
I'm still very upset I never got to see them live. I guess this will do . . .
So happy, I remember watching a few live videos of The Beginning and the End and wishing I had seen them live just once.
Oh well, I'll watch this entire thing in full while crying in a corner from the conflicting emotions within me, I love these guys.
It sure is taking awhile for them to release Live 2! Live 1 was available about a week before the preorder date of May 31st. Live 2 was scheduled for release last tuesday (the 14th). It is now the 19th. What gives!?
