I have hopes for this.
i cant wait to see them in may the day before my bday, its gonna be sick! im stoked for the album
Yeah this will probably be way better than Lemons. Absolutely love the beat.
This is fap-worthy.
im 1:16 in and this is pretty orgasmic, thank you atmosphere there've been way to many new -core bands in my playlists lately
ooh this is good
Digging: Jeff Rosenstock - We Cool?
it's ight... their older shit is so much better. I guess this is what happens when you turn 38
this is a pretty nice improvement
Pretty dope. Slug doesn't sound that old.
Digging: Disclosure - Carnival
Nice song, looking forward to the new album now.
in b4 invei--
Digging: Thou / The Body - You, Whom I Have Always Hated
yeah song's pretty good.
continues the recent Atmosphere trend of having a great beat with Slug being hit-or-miss on the rhymes. Better than his more cringe-worthy stuff on Lemons and To All My Friends, but he still sounds like he's just going through the motions at this point to me. There are some cool moments though for sure.
you would breakdown,
im js if you think lemons is bad then u dumb
oh it's not bad but it's like the epitome of a 3/5 + .5 for fanboyism.
Lemons is great. Song is cool. Chrous is awesome.
the lyrical content of lemons is awesome.
try surface deep and storytelling just for the sake of it.
that being said there is a few bangers, but a lot if it is so average.
I was disappointed by this song. I thought the chorus was boring.
not a fan of this one.... not a fan
I was just nodding along with everything 'feit was saying in that exchange and realized I have trained you well, young grasshopper.
but seriously saying Lemons is awesome (especially in comparison to anything that came before it in Atmos' discog) is like saying Recovery is Eminem's best album
how about saying Recovery is Em's 2nd best album?
track is pretty good btw
no it's not because i didn't say it was their best album. i just said it was awesome. it's the first thing i heard by them and so it's what got me into them and i am therefore partial to it. i think that's fairly easy to understand.
song is good, Lemons was awesome.
I know I know
I was just being hyperbolic about my dislike for Lemons, but because it doesn't sound anything like the Atmosphere (and especially Slug) that I grew up loving. To me, it sounds like he totally lost his passion and inspiration for writing and just started making up stories that were just, well, stories -- once you followed the narrative there was nothing left to discover. The songs didn't make me think quite like older material did, and Slug just sounded bored to me (there are a couple exceptions, Skinny Pimp and Yesterday mainly).
idk my Atmosphere fanboyism almost plays a part in my beef with that disc.
somb we're never going to agree on Recovery lol
yeah, I've come to realize that Inveigh
and yeah, Leak at Will was my first taste of Atmosphere, then godlovesugly.
I loved Lemons at first, but the more you listen to their earlier stuff the worse and worse it gets.
And then you just accept that the days of old are gone and move on.
least i did. hah.
the first 9 tracks on lemon are great, the rest sucks
new song is a 3.5/5
ok it looks like I'm gonna be going to this guy's Vancouver show in May, where should I start with his albums?
Digging: Waxahatchee - Ivy Tripp
Not bad, not bad. This better be good.
Digging: Father John Misty - I Love You, Honeybear
Start with Godlovesugly, Lucy Ford, Overcast, you cant imagine how much fun were having, sevens travels and then wherever..
pretty much what 'feit said, start with either Godlovesugly or Lucy Ford, then go to either Overcast! or Seven's Travels, then You Can't Imagine. If you're still interested start getting Sad Clowns, Headshots and Lemons etc.
If you're looking for a bit more uppity music the Sad Clown Bad Seasons will serve you well.
what dey said
yeah but unbreak the fuckin page
