wasnt bad at all. quite liked it actually. some nice keys and melodies. bring on the discovery.

| |
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
| |
terrible
| |
didn't get interesting till the end for me but i still cant wait for the new album
| |
That last bit was really great.
| |
the end was really good. i hope the rest of the album has stuff like that.
| |
Was all right.
| |
Song fucking killed.
And I totally knew it would.
| |
guitars were just chugchugchug most of the time, theres a lot more emphasis on the keyboards...sounds kinda gay, but it wasnt bad.
| |
the last bit is fucking cool. and the vocals sound awesome.
| |
i was a bit disappointed because the studio updates suggested better stuff, but it was still decent. love that the bass is audible the entire time. album is shaping up to be much better than a higher place
| |
Not innovative or anything (obviously), but it was a pretty fun track.
| |
Love it. Definitely sounds like this album will be better than A Higher Place.
| |
Despised Icon + Keyboards = Born Of Osiris
the solo at the end was tits though
| |
Nikk, you are lucky you got looks otherwise I'd sock ya in tha face ;)
Taters my boy, I am more than stoced! Not sure if it will surpass AHP but should come darn close.
| |
Frigging love it. Can't wait for the new album.
| |
Saw them last week, was ok. Songwriting is shit with all those kinda bands though.
| |
traded them in for my own personal porn star silent :]
bloc: you know im goddamn right, despised icon is aight but take away the keyboards and it sounds like DI and TAS's lovechild
| |
The production on this is really really good too. Not harsh like AHP (which, don't get me wrong, suited the album) and you can actually hear the rattle of the bass.
| |
Love this song. Although I don't think it will be the best that The Discovery will have to offer. I don't want to speak too soon, but I think this will be the best Born of Osiris album yet.
| |
production is top notch i recon the bass would be faaaaar more intresting if it wasnt just chugging away the whole damn time, idk, they are in between DI and The Contortionist pre Exoplanet for me (thats not a bad thing at all, just a very un-unique one)
| |
I saw the bassist tapping in the studio video, my ears are going to be wide open for that.
| |
I can't stand music this overproduced.
Might as well have been synthesized entirely in a computer program.
| |
these guys need to trim the fat, they have way too many ideas in a song and don't really expand on them. Also these guys really love chugging.
| |
Pass.
| |
That song is the best thing summerian put out in a while, the end reminded me of Vela, together we await the storm.
| |
This song was much better then I expected. Still not that good, but my expectations were pretty low.
Isnt this coming out on the 22nd, and not the 15th?
| |
Song fucking killed.
And I totally knew it would.[2]
| |
I like this band. Song was meh. I'm more shocked at how forgettable AHP was.
| |
Any good compared to the Faceless?
| |
sooooooo gewdddddd
| |
the guitars sound fucking SHIT which is really surprising seeing as they used an axefx. what the fuck.
| |
Song was da bomb. Cannet wait for the Discovery.
| |
yes please
| |
Fucking hell this bored the shit out of me more than anything. Then again, i hate this band with a passion.
| |
awesome, cannot wait for the rest
| |
this is hands down the best thing they've ever done. which isn't really saying tooooo much but.
| |
Is this good guys? I would have to pause Streetlight if I were to listen to this.
| |
Cool song, kinda choppy transitions even for them though. I'm guessing this'll be one of the worst tracks on the album (even though it's still really good.)
| |
production is so much better but it's nothing amazing. the faceless is a thousand times better ps
| |
is actually pretty good omg
| |
killer
| |
If you can dissect through all the slick production, it's nothing more than chugga-chugga with a few licks here and there.
| |
This was pretty much better than most of A Higher Place. The end was pretty sick and the bass is finally heard and the keyboardist is more noticed now then he used to be only for breakdowns which is a plus. I hate his screams though.
| |
Yeah this better not be THE BEST on the album or else it'll all go to shit.
Guitars were basic the whole time with the melodic parts being way too simplistic. keyboards and vocals were great sounding compared to last two efforts.
If they can just add a melodic solo they'd probably have a really good album on their hands.
| |
I reeeally hope BOO just improves their formula, making The Discovery like their first two albums, only better. They have so much potential. They just need to make the awesome parts longer, and some more general variation. Like I said, potential. A shit-ton of it.
| |
im excited for this now
the end is sweet!
| |
This reminds of a more metallish flipcore. Not bad, but still boring.
| |
Flipcore? Boy I will beat you...
| |
who cares just stop listening to shitcore
| |
I was reluctant to listen to this but was surprised when I enjoyed what I heard...I hope the rest of the album is even better than this.
| |
Band doesn't suck like they did a few years ago.
Good for them.
| |
Apparently theres another version with a different producer, i like it more...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsQ7AucVOsw
Though im not sure where the solo went...
| |
yeah three of the songs were recorded with a different producer for an EP that never arrived. I assume they will just record them fresh for the album.
| |
I liked that version better, too bad it didnt have that solo at the end. Instruments sound way heavier and less produced.
| |
agree, and the keys are more audible.
| |
Well that sucks i hate the chugs on the Sturgis version they're so boring and lifeless, oh well though
| |
Hmmm, although the keys are more audible on this link, the official version essentially encompasses the link version and adds a bit more (ie. the solo).
| |
Yeah i just liked the overall production a lot more, even if the chugs sound damn close to peripheries, but that makes sense because Misha produced it
| |
YEAR OF THE BROSIRIS
| |

So far A Higher Place poops on this imo, but i actually liked a higher place a lot
| |
Kellx you gotta stop stop spoiling me, these new tracks are soooooo damn good.
Intelligent Design is certainly my favourite.
EDIT: Fuck it, they're all good.
| |
That synth melody is just... unnnnnnhhhhhhhhhh!!!
| |
has the whole thing leaked?
| |
I wish...
| |
band needs to foad [2]
| |
Bahahahahahaha never!
| |
God that display picture is terrible. It physically hurts me to look at.
| |
Visualised To Perfection is obviously the best so far.
| |
Intelligent Design, baby.
| |
It's odd though, because The Discovery track list has neither of those two songs on it. The band must have changed the titles.
| |
Hmm, that's od-WTFWHGFIEAOPEWAFEA THAT IS NOT A LEGO SWEET JESUS WHAT IS THAT?!
| |
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
| |
Bloc you're doing it wrong. Thats clearly a......Blob
| |
brb gonna ask for a name change
| |
Where can i hear these new tracks??
| |
They were in the links Kellx posted earlier but damn, looks like they're fried. Even I wanted to listen to them one more time... : (
| |
aww beanz
| |
Theres plenty of torrents with them in there though
| |
A kind soul has just sent them to me :D
| |
Brings teh junz soooo hard.
| |
Don't listen to them too much :D
| |
Dunno if you already know but there are samples available for all songs over at amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Discovery/dp/B004PLEI3K/ref=mb_oe_o
| |
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
| |
Recreate is Visualisation To Perfection off the old one. Its absolutely amazing.
| |
Yep, and Singularity is the new Intelligent Design.
| |
this album sounds marvellous
| |
A Solution sounds like a cheesy auto-tuner though haha
| |
Lol 15 songs god damn thats a lot
| |
And yeah A Solution is ew
| |
The more the merrier!
| |
Don't know if this is still interesting for you, but I just found those three Demo tracks streaming at Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/deaddreams/sets/born-of-osiris-demos/
| |
Compared the last two albums this was much more enjoyable. I cant listen to more than 1 minute of A New Reign because of the stale production and the clicky cardboard sounding bass drum. A Higher Place would have been ok if the songs did not sound exactly the same (exept Now Arise).
This album seems to have the best production theve had and it doesnt seem to have those cliche slow solos over the breakdowns and a huge plus to putting the keyboards higher in the mix.
I will be checking this album out!
| |
lol i normally dont like born of osiris but I actually really liked this, will buy the album
| |
