Titus Andronicus Lose Bassist 2011-01-03 by Nevin | 48 Replies | 2308 Views |
After their show in New Jersey to kick off the New Year, rumors were around that bassist Ian Graetzer may be leaving the punk group Titus Andronicus. Recently on the band's blog, this was confirmed to be true. Lead man Patrick Stickles says there are no hard feelings between the group and Graetzer, saying "the months since Ian announced his departure plans (yes, the months!) have been some of the happiest and friendliest in all of our organization's history."

it's always hard to care about a bassist leaving on good terms, no matter what the band
|
| |

this sucks, i was just about to listen to The Monitor for the first time.
|
| |
it's alright, over hyped in my opinion
|
| |
The Monitor is excellent. The fact that I couldn't find tickets to the Royal Oak show (last I checked anyways) is not excellent.
|
| |
as long as it's not the chick guitarist or the drummer
those two are cool as fuck
|
| |
or stickles
|
| |
well i mean if he left there'd be no more titus

they lost him? they better go find him then.
|
| |
so just before the band becomes popular he leaves...respect.
|
| |
at least its on good terms
Isn't that what everyone says these days though?
|
| |
have you listened to this band. They don't seem the type to pussyfoot around something. If he left on bad terms they would say so.
|
| |
Hmmm I should learn how to play bass.
|
| |
Band is almost painfully simple, so you'll have fine luck actually
|
| |
aww this makes me sad
having watched that making of The Monitor video series on youtube, everyone in the band seems like awesome people including the bassist

Question: if a bass player leaves a band in the forest, does it make a difference?
Nope. Toodles.
|
| |
if a bass player falls in a forest, does it make a sound?
|
| |
heard the guy is being picked up by meshuggah since his playing is so technical
|
| |
Wack sauce. I hope they find a sufficient replacement soon.
|
| |
like they can ever replace him. uhhh
|
| |
having watched that making of The Monitor video series on youtube, everyone in the band seems like awesome people including the bassist
this is why i was bummed, not because i really like bassists. those videos were great. stickles is simultaneously the most awkward and awesome person in the room, all the time.
|
| |
who fucking cares
|
| |
MJ posting 'who fucking cares'
the irony is almost too much to handle. quick, someone come help
|
| |

Meshuggah's guitarists are already practically bassists anyway.
|
| |
lol MJ you so crazy
|
| |
they should just not get a bass player and always have the piano going instead cause it is way more awesome.
|
| |
Few just a bassist. Jk. Seriously. I love a good bass.
|
| |
Few just a bassist
could apply so well to any other band, specialy deathcore, sucks but atleast they're all still friends

Dear Titus Andronicus,
please appoint a new bassist, record a new album and then come back to the UK with great haste.
If I have to live forever in the knowledge that I could've seen your show but got so drunk on the night preceeding it that I was unable to function and therefore missed it to whatever extent that I hate myself it won't be enough.
Thank you & goodnight.

quibble over genres omg
irritating
tell me what their band page says then read what this article says
o but they're the same thing right
|
| |
quibble over genres omg
irritating
|

honestly they're closer to a punk band than an indie band anyway
