Craig Finn writes baseball anthem
2010-09-23 by Dave Donnelly STAFF | 10 Replies | 1300 Views

Baseball fan Craig Finn has written a new anthem for the Minnesota Twins entitled 'Don't Call Them Twinkies.'

Finn was invited to participate in the track by the Baseball Project, a supergroup led by Steve Wynn of Dream Syndicate fame, along with Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey of R.E.M. and ex-Zuzu's Petals drummer Linda Pitmon.

The Baseball Project will release their debut album next year.

It's pretty fun, unfortunately I don't think the Twins will ever relive some of the great moments mentioned in the tune.

It's pretty uplifting though, nothing like my reaction ;)

Article should probably mention that he's the Hold Steady's frontman, no?

This is cool as hell even though I loathe the Twinkies.
