Joe Satriani has revealed the cover art and tracklist for his 14th studio album, titled Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards. The album will come out on October 4 (October 5 in the US).

Yeah they have different styles. I prefer Vai because he seems to have a better understanding of tonality and texture. He's very good at incorporating the different modes into his songs. Also, he always knows when to hold back and not just mindlessly shred.

I like Satriani alright, but it just sounds like he's always trying to play the most technically demanding shit ever without paying much attention to the sounds he's making. Still good though.

I like Satch and Vai, but disagree with some comments and would say that Satch sacrifices excessive showboating for good songwriting. Seen him live and it was great.
