Russian Circles van destroyed
2010-08-02 by eternium | 36 Comments
Russian Circles have been forced to cancel shows in Atlanta, Baton Rouge, and Carbarro as their van and equipment has been destroyed.

A message posted on the band's blog said: "Nothing like buying a new van and having it destroyed 4 days later along with the trailer that was rented and a ton of gear. Vintage Gretsch drum kit - tears for that.

"The band have been stranded in Baton Rouge since Friday and are so sad to have had to miss playing the Baton Rouge, Atlanta and Carborro shows. But they are on the way to buy their second van in a week and will make it to play DC and the rest of the tour dates with Boris barring any other disasters."

Pictures and information on how to help the band financially can be found on the group's blog.

The link didn't go into any detail either, or at least the 2 second glance I had didn't reveal anything. How do you accidentally destroy your car? Was it like, "oh shit I completely didn't mean to park in the compactor"

"Van & Trailer just got destroyed in accident. Any bands near here that may have van & trail able to help us get to venue ASAP?"

Touring vans are turning against their bands. It's an all out war I say.

Sucks for them. I hope they get back on track alright, two vans? That's a lot of money.
