Envy On The Coast split up
2010-07-13 by Iamthe Nightstars | 41 Replies | 4433 Views

Alternative rock band Envy on the Coast have decided to disband following the departure of guitarist Sal Bossio and bassist Jeremy Velardi.

Lead vocalist Ryan Hunter posted a detailed explanation of the band's decision on their Facebook fan page: "Sal and Jer sat down with Brian and I about a week ago and informed us that they are leaving Envy on the Coast. They explained that they are no longer happy being a part of this, and there was nothing Brian and I could do or say to change that.

"Because Envy on the Coast was founded upon the musical and personal relationships between the four of us, Brian and I have decided that we would rather move forward rather than finding musicians to replace Sal and Jer."

Both of their EP's are damn near flawless. It's a sad day for rock music.

Whoops, LP's. Their latest is beautiful. Bands like EotC are few are far between.

Literally just started getting into them

Very sad news

Also, my semi-friend used to be the drummer for I believe the first album. Said the singer had an ego problem and was sort of a Nazi but hey, they sounded good.

I was devastated when I heard of it earlier today. It's terrible since their last album is close to perfect.

Good band, sad to see them bounce. But Lucy Gray is NOT a very good record compared to Lowcountry.

lolerskates. I just read their interview in last months AP and they talked about how since they hoofed out the previous drummer how "organic and natural" the new band felt.

lowcountry is definitely better, but they kind of HAD to have a record like lucy gray to make lowcountry so great.

hey guys lucy grey was a solid album, especially for a debut album. true lowcountry was better as a whole, but lucy grey has some awesome tracks.
