After a years absence, Ozzfest will resume in 2010 starting in August. Co-headlining the mainstage along with Ozzy will be Motley Crue, along with Rob Halford, Devildriver and Nonpoint.
The second stage will be headlined by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde's band, Black Label Society. The second stage will also feature Drowning Pool, Kingdom Of Sorrow, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm.
Initial tour dates are:
August 14 - San Bernardino, CA - San Manuel Amphitheater
August 17 - Chicago, IL - First Midwest Bank Amp.
August 19 - Pittsburgh, PA - First Niagara Pavilion
August 21 - Hartford, CT - Comcast Theater
August 22 - Camden, NJ - Susquehanna
August 24 - Boston, MA - Comcast Center
I'm definitely going to this.
Digging: Pentatonix - PTX Vol. II
Line Up is EXTREMELY average
Digging: Lady Gaga - Artpop
Interesting, glad to see a Pittsburgh date. Nothing really jumped out at me though.
Line Up is EXTREMELY average
hahaha I'm staying the fuck away from this.
gonna have to say no
remember when ozzfest had an actually good lineup?
neither do i
Ozzfest is lol
Digging: Obliteration - Black Death Horizon
They're still adding some bands, but I'm excited to see Motley Crue.
August 19 - Pittsburg, PA - First Niagara Pavilion
Spirit, have you seen MC live before?
haven't been to an ozzfest since 2006, doesn't look like i plan on returning any time soon
Digging: Grave Miasma - Odori Sepulcrorum
Yeah i've seen them 5 times
Hmm, and they sounded good? I saw them with Aerosmith a few years back and they were god awful. Pretty much got boo'd off stage. REALLY disappointed me.
Yeah, i saw them with Aerosmith too, but they actually blew Aerosmith off the stage. Every time I've seen them, they've been excellent.
Probably just WAY too much fun pre-show lol I was so excited to see them too, and that happened. Felt let down. All I know is that little intro they had (have still) of just one big porno on screen pretty much made my night. People think that because the bands got older, they can take their kids to the shows....LOL!
oh shiz, just now see this so I'm guessing my news article doesn't matter lol.
lineup is a joke, bring back the lineup from Ozzfest 06
Eh, nothing I'll be lining up for.
OZZFEST AND CRUEFEST COLLIDE!
Digging: Mary J Blige - The Breakthrough
There isn't Cruefest this year.
yeah bc theyre co-headlining ozzfest... thats what i meant, sorry.
well they originally said there wasn't going to be a Cruefest this year because they wanted to work on their new album.....um yeah.
The Comcast Center isn't even in Boston....
lol @ this. sounds more like cougar fest to me. crue? drowning pool? there's gonna be tons of 40+ year old hormones flowing...
hah this sucks.
Pretty awful, I have never been to one and don't plan on it. Wasn't The Red Chord on this tour once? I could be wrong.
Digging: Burial - Rival Dealer
looking back, 96 was pretty boss.
that's worth it alone.
VonManHEad, it is in Mansfield, but nobody knows where the fuck Mansfield is so they say Boston to make it easier. Semantics isn't something to bitch about
Everyone is forgetting about ozzfest 2004. THAT year was metal as fuck.
On a side note, dont sleep on Motley Crue live. They really are excellent. As a fan, I went apeshit when they did Dr. Feelgood the album last Cruefest. And the stage show is always a riot.
My first metal concert was Ozzfest 2005 (I think) when Iron Maiden co-headlined with Black Sabbath, both bands fucking tore up. I also met In Flames, Trivium, Soilwork, and Shadow's Fall... man that was a good show. They haven't had as good of a lineup since.
Ozzfest is lol
Digging: Demilich - Nespithe
Long live the Crue.
Line Up is EXTREMELY average
I think I'll just see Slayer, Megadeth, and Testament in August instead
Sooo.... which of these bands is actually worth seeing?
goatwhore is k, skeleton witch is eh... and kataklysm is ehh, so yeah not really worth going to
Well since my two favorite bands are headlining I'm definitely going. I'll be killing two birds with one stone even though I definitely do not have the desire to see the other bands on the list.
And as for Scream, I'm not rubbing one out to that single.
I'm more of an 83-89 Ozzy era kinda guy.
people would care about ozzfest if ozzfest ever had any good bands to play.
Digging: Waxahatchee - American Weekend
