Maybe this will be better?
| |
Won't be no Bless the Martyr sadly :/
| |
Bless the Martyr is overrated. Something more like O' God would please me. I think the band's only real problem is the repetitiveness. Makes albums hard to listen to.
| |
lets see how many more times they can re-do Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste on this one, in all honesty i hope this guys make a enjoyable album and i will listen to it for old times sake
| |
I'd settle for Redeemer pt. 2
| |
redeemer was pretty good imo, i still listen Blueprints For Future Homes from time to time
| |
I will not settle for anything less than We Are the Romans.
| |
blueprints < a small spark
redeemer pt 2 would be okay
| |
These guys need to stop :/
| |
Pretty excited about this actually
| |
The first half of The Anti-Mother was good.
| |
I used to be a pretty big Norma Jean fan. :D Wow good times.
I actually thought Redeemer was pretty good.
| |
Kinda stoked for this. Band's earlier stuff pretty good. People just write them off as another Botch copy (which is true to an extent on O'God, nothing else they made couldn't be related as much to Botch), doesn't really mean it sucks. Botch=awesome, Botch copy=pretty good.
| |
Norma Jean is pretty bad ass, emphasis on bad.
| |
Emphasis on ASS too.

Norma Jean is pretty fucking awful actually. Let's make a bunch of songs that sound the same and feature at least 4 breakdowns per song, shall we?
| |
hmm dont remember many norma jean breakdowns
| |
they played Bless The Martyr in it's entirety last time they came around. maybe it's a hint to what direction they're gonna be goin in?
| |
In reference to the breakdowns, they have 'em sure. But they're so smooth you really don't notice the change in momentum.
Just another ignorant person making ignorant judgements about a band.
| |
Norma Jean don't play that many breakdowns.. and when they do, they don't CHUGGA CHUGGA like other bands. They're a really good band that simply could do better if they didn't repeat themselves so much (such as those one-line repeats over and over).
| |
^crap, sounds like a troll statement. Sorry, just my opinion. Don't mean to ruffle feathers.
| |
Band sucks
| |
More like Norma Jun. Band went from generic metalcore to botch clone to underoath jr. Will probably stay on the same path.
| |
Please let this be better than Anti-Mother. I'd like something more akin to Redeemer.
| |
i believe underoath went Norma @the palaceofwisdom but I could be wrong. Redeemer came before define the great line which was underoath's turn-around album and every one of their cds before that was almost what the Chariot is now, just better put together in some areas. I don't like these bands at all really and am neutral, but I do have to say they started the whole "mainstream grind flannel touting scene kid" thing that pushed me away so much.
They were the stylists of a new generation and just started to get washed up while at the same time experimenting with their new found popularity.
I am interested, though, to see what happens next.
| |
^wtf gtfo
ANYWAYS, Anti-Mother didn't do it for me. Really like Redeemer and O God and love Bless the Martyr. Here's to hoping!
| |
O'God The Aftermath was sooo fucking good, Bless The Martyr was decent, Redeemer was pree fun and Anti Mother was hella lame.
Hoping to hear another Disconnecktie.
| |
Well, here's a song from the upcoming album. The song is called "Kill More Presidents" (lawl at attempt to sound hardcore). I guess this is as good an indication as any of what the record will be like.

| |
Bless the Martyr is cool. Without it there wouldn't be any Define the Great Line.
| |
^ how's that work? I don't remember DTGL being full of hXc mawsh breakdowns and poor production.
| |
I'd be ridiculously happy with O' God or Bless The Martyr Part 2. Sadly, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be similar to the Anti-Mother from the one leaked song that I heard.
| |
Well that album was partly influenced by Bless the Martyr, it wouldn't be as good as it turned out without it.
| |
I like this band. I feel some botch jokes coming on though.
| |
i enjoy the anti-mother a lot actually, except for the last 3 songs
| |
that kill more presidents song is sweeeeeet duuuuude yeaaaaah
but i like i
| |
it*
| |
The new song doesn't sound too bad.
| |
gonna make a guess and say 2 at worst, 3.5 at (very) best; most likely a 3.
| |
feel obligated to comment of this thread...
| |
Their early stuff is average. I just find Redeemer and what i've heard from TAM awful.
| |
Something in the vein of Redeemer, please? I mean as good as that album...
O' God is great but it's a blatant Botch rip off, they won't ever sound like BTMAKTC again and The Anti Mother was just shit.
| |
glad to see there are some people who actually like redeemer. love that record. stoked for the new one.
| |
Tbh being a clone of a band as well respected as Botch is always going to get you shit. But at least they wanted to copy somthing more original than end up as another Hatebreed/throwdown clone. They do have some pretty sweet songs but as eternium said repetitiveness really is the killer of the enjoyment of there albums.
| |
I would like to attest that this band was never good
| |
This band were never amazing but to say they were crap is just unfair.
| |
It's not unfair, it's true they made really lame music. The only time they didn't was when they stole from another band.
| |
I still don't get the hate for Anti mother
| |
I don't know every band is gonna be copying some bands that came before them. I mean should we constantly shit on frodus and refused cuz they spent their entire carrers ripping off the nation of ulysses.
| |
Anti mother was pretty disappointing, redeemer is one of my fav album by N.J. BTMKTC is good and OGTA is alright. Hopin they dont disapoint this time around
| |
I heard on the radio this would have 10 tracks and 3 b-sides???
| |
Anti mother was terrible. Redeemer was decent.
| |
if they release o god pt 2 i'll shit myself.
| |
the vocalist sounds an awful lot like Josh Scogin on that leaked song except for the clean vocals, the anti mother wasnt that bad but it wasnt good at all, it was just average and BTMAKTC doesnt tickles my fancy at all
| |
fromAZtoZAO, The Anti Mother was a mess. The entire record sounds like they have no idea what they're doing, what they're trying to write. The production was also very very weird....in a bad way.
| |
Idk. I think that they are pretty solid. Anything that is new with a twist of O' God would be great
| |
anything after 'oh god the aftermath has sucked
straight up im going there and saying
i did not ever enjoy any songs on redeemer or anti mother
really hoping it sounds like oh god
| |
