Never liked this band, even though I love the style of music they played.
Digging: The Birthday Massacre - Superstition
That's a big ass picture
Digging: Hyperdub - Hyperdub 10.4
Is this band really Metalcore, Progressive, and Thrash or is someone just being obsessive-compulsive about filling the genres?
Digging: Kenn Nardi - Dancing With the Past
Every second band on this site is progressive
yeah, no shit. I reject those pretty damn quick most of the time.
were these guys ever worthwhile? and i don't think severed savior is labeled as prog
Musically, they're like Periphery and vocally, I dunno, Sikth or The Arusha Accord perhaps?
I agree with bloc's first comment. TesseracT is a really good band btw, check em' out if you haven't
heard em' before.
bloc kind of put it in place. this is sikth with a lite dab of veil of maya chugga lug (pretty much the same as circle of contempt, and other asorted sumerian bits). can certainly be overlooked, i just figured this was news worthy.
Although being on the bandwagon with this sort of metal atm, they had some really good tracks.
new this was coming months ago anyway, still sucks.
their other projects for the most part were better and going better places, so I understand the break up
monuments is sounding pretty sweet.
Ooooh, it is sounding quite sweet.
Monuments sounds like two songs playing at once, it is awesome.
It sounds like what i wanted fell silent to sound like.
Vocals are much more original, need to hear more stuff.
Just start getting into them.
Digging: The Smith Street Band - Throw Me In The River
these guys had a few meh songs, the weakest of all the prog metalcore bands.
Digging: Midnight - No Mercy for Mayhem
Oh fuck. Loved 'The Hidden Words' and was looking forward to the second album, but had this happening in the back of my mind. Will definitely keep an eye on Monuments as well from now on, that track is jackrabbits jizzing sunshine.
It's lulz how much they get/got overlooked considering they started doing this stuff long before it became hot. Cheers for the music lads!

If they are like Circle of Contempt I need to give them a listen
They were done the second Acle went back to Tesseract full time, but damn were they good. They don't sound like Circle of COntempt really at all their vocal style is different, less aggressive drums, more layers in the melody, and they use lower tuned 7 strings.
I could never really get into these guys, which is somewhat surprising considering I usually enjoy their "brand" but...
Hopefully they will still be somewhat influential through their members work after the band.
Major local band here tbh. Not particularly upset about it though.
Far too similar to Sikth
The similarities between them and sikth are so small.
Yeah, musically they are FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR apart. I can hear some similarities in the vocals though.
Yeah that high pitched half scream/shout thing, i get you.
How could anyone be too similar to SikTh! RIP
