The Strokes to play Oz in July
2010-04-01 by Davey Boy STAFF | 9 Replies | 1216 Views

The Strokes are continuing on their comeback trail with a couple of live shows in Australia this July. Following on from a series of European festival dates which have already been announced, the New York rockers will play Sydney on the 29th and Melbourne on the 30th. This is likely to be followed up by a headlining announcement at Queensland’s Splendour In The Grass Festival. Tickets for the Sydney & Melbourne shows go on sale April-12.

I think I would have rathered them wait until the new album was released, but I'm sure they will still sell out rapidly.

Hey, I'm interested in a new album, and of course the Aussie crowd will hear new stuff.

Yeah, from memory, they're planning to release the new album in September, so they will definitely play a couple of new tracks at the very least.
